Course Curriculum Overview
I am writing this review based on the course that I am currently enrolled in (BA. Psychology, Optional English). All subjects here are theory hours plus Lab research hours separately. Exams are also held separately for practical and theory even for social science or humanities subjects. For psychology we've practical exams right from 1st semester, where we are given an idea on how conducting experiments work. For Optional English and other subjects like journalism, etc., we will have to submit a research portfolio and have a viva at the end of every semester as a part of practical lab exam. In every semester all the students will have mid semester exams and finals (practicaland theory). Throughout the semester we will have 2 CIA and other assignments for our core subjects as well as Language 1 and 2, along with skill enhancement courses and open electives.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees structure being a little more than the affordable range is still not that bad while compared to other places. But I am very sure that there are multiple scholarships provided under various names and there is also consideration for people's whose overall annual family income is less. We are also given the chance to pay the fees in installments.
Campus Life
Every year we have multiple fests packed with fun and excitement. There are also a lot of competitions and a lit of programs to organise and participate in. Apart from these annual fests. Throughout the semester different clubs and associations from each school conduct contests, debate and discussions which are very helpful. Every student has to get additional 5 credits from non academic achievements.
Admission
For my course which was a dual major (psychologyand optional English) I had to go through ab entrance exam based on writing skills and through that we get to attend 2 rounds of interviews. By the end of second round we can confirm of we've received the admission or not. The application process was online and was held in 2 phases. The questions asked in interviews were regarding the subjects I chose to specialize in.
Faculty
All the teachers are highly qualified and are very well aware of the subjects they teach. All the psychology professors are well-experienced faculty members. Overall, if I had to say all teachers, professors and staff members are approachable and always open to take in questions and interact with students.
