Course Curriculum Overview

4

i really like the modern approach of this course. the way it's modern but also keeping it to ancient way of treatment is quite wondrous to me. really like the new curriculum, as it increase our engagement withe the course and the required patient-doctor approach. i think the exam aspect could be improved, as we give exam every month, then term exams twice, then one university exam. the difficulty level is only upto the terminal exams in my opinion.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

so the college offers 1 year of compulsory internship. although now and then the seminars are held to aware us about the oportunities out there. the stipend currently in our college for ug is 23,550 monthly.

Fees and Financial Aid

we have 4.5 year course and one year internship. for first proffessional, the fees was 17500 second proffessional, the fees was 14400 third proffessional, the fees is 14400 that sums up the fees. there are no other fees for college. hostel fees varies from 2700-3500/yr. mess fees varies from 2800-3200/mo for the internship, the current stipend is 23,550/mo there is national scholarship available for out of state students.

Campus Life

2.5

the big event held in the campus are: convocation interbatch sports event cultural events every festival onam festival christmas celebration magazine club programmes every now and then. the facilities are great in classrooms as all of the classes are furnished with projectors, mics, etc. the sports life is focused way too much here, especially football and cricket. magazine club is amazing. i myself is a part of that club. college union is present in the campus. quite helpful i guess. although the big hassle about it is that it is too much involved politically. way too much.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

male hostel is 5kms away from the main college. yearly the fees is 2700-3200 mess is run by students, which is much better. we just have to register in college and come to hostel to look for room availability.

Admission

we need to be qualified in NEET exam conducted by NTA. depending upon the cut-off, we do the choice filling. the cut off is pretty high for this college, as it is one of the best coleges. i guess the admission process will be easier if the cut offs are specified every year.

Faculty

4.5

there are 14 departments in the college. there are at least 4 teachers in one department. the teachers are highly experienced and quite good in their job. they will leave no stones unturned. being an out of state student, i was a bit skeptical when i first came here but it's been very nice studying here. their main language is english to explain the concepts, since there are large number of malayali students they switch languages often. regarding approach, we can approach teachers anytime, they are ever ready to help. they can give time from their busy schedule as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. Each exams have 3hrs which is sufficient as only 80 marks questions need to be written reaming 20 marks are MCQ
