- The campus building has a professional civil engineering marvel.
- The consecutive efforts from the department organising various various workshops and seminars.
- The lecturers are really good with many having PHD degrees.
Dislikes
- Few lecturers who are a bit arrogant and not friendly unlike others.
- Canteens being only 2 in the whole campus although we need more than 4 for the number of students.
Course Curriculum Overview
As our college follows VTU and all the AICTE regulations we are highly skeptical about the outcome and the relevance Although the curriculum doesn't really make us application friendly but the college does it though assignments and projects Attendance shortage measures to be made a bit free than the staggering 85% and also encouragement for startups frequency of exams are roughly 2 per month
Internships Opportunities
I don't have any knowledge regarding the internship opportunities but i do know a few seniors who are offered internships through various institutions Companies offering the internships were AJIMS Research centre where the role offered was of full stack developers and also a few more companies offering the intern developers.
Placement Experience
This year due to recession the campus placement being less up to 30%-40% of the students 6th sem being eligible and also few companies already arrived at the college to place the ece 6th sem students who are still in their 5th sem Infosys, Wipro, tcs, Mangalore, infotech, etc. highest package being 9lpa this year to one of our super super senior and the average being 3-4lpa I don't have more info regarding the placements as we aren't allowed to the placement department before 3rd semester. 35% approx. this year but up to 90% last year and so on I am planning to work with pursuing MBA correspondence.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for me being 1,04,000 to the university and 11,000 being the college fee. There are a few students through management who have their fee up to 3,00,000pa. Hostel fee being 85000 and all the other making up to 3lpa. I did not receive any scholarships yet. since i am just in the first year right now I did not go through any employment opportunities yet.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest being AKAAR which is a national level techno cultural festival. We do have many other fests and functions arranged in our colleges time to time like hackathons and workshops. We do have good facilities with the proper benches, fans and others with the projector. Not much of encouragement is given to sports in our college but we do know a few of the achievers so it is a part of the college which needs improvement.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are really good. We have separate girls and boys hostel of 5 floors each with more than 10 rooms in a particular floor. we have few complaints regarding the canteen. we have our dean whose kind of strict but its manageable. I would definitely say that the food is average so 3/5 stars. The registration for the hostel took place for me with the college admission so it was nothing different college hostel.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth. we were appointed staffs who guided us well through out. we had to meet the principal and a few hods before getting the confirmation and since i joined through the entrance exam CET mostly everything was through online CET ranks and 12th pass being the eligibility application form being available in their official website and available on campus
Faculty
Total faculty strength being more than 80. out of which we have more than 30% PHD holders 40% of which are preparing for PHD, MTech ME qualified lecturers. student to faculty ratio is roughly 1:50 Lecturers do use PPTs and other means to teach Interaction with teachers is mandatory atleast oncve per week
