DECODING NITW

Well to be eligible to get into my course in this college you need to qualify JEE (Mains) exam . The cutoff for general category was near about 10 K and it continues to be the same ... The frequency of exam is very high.

Well for me chosing EEE was by chance since NITW offers similar placement opportunities for circuital branches , but as I have studied here I have gained some interest in EEE subjects as well , thanks to the curriculum framework here.I think the course curriculum can include more nunber of labs rather than jst theory subjects. The frequency of exams is very high as we have minor 1, minor 2 , mids, ends .

The companies offering internships at the campus include accenture, AWS , Oracle most companies offer SDE intern and some offer ECE related role as well others include analyst intern roles as well . Whereas very less companies offer intern related to mech , civil etc.

From 7 th semester onqards students become eligible for the campus placements, The companies visiting include Microsoft, Accenture, Cognizant, Hoatspot, AWS, Oracle, ITC etc. For the past batch near about 90 percent people of the batch were placed . Highest package was 88 LPA and avg for my branch was 21 LPA. My plans are to get a job after degree.

I think since I have joined the college there has not been any hoke in my fees which is a good sign. The complete cost for me including all tge costs will be near about 10-12 lacs because I was not able to get any scholarship thanks to my general category quota and family income greater than 8 lacs, but still if people are really under any financial burden they can avail scholarships available on college websites

The annual fest name is springspree and technical fest name is Technizion. Spring spree is typically held in the months of mar-apr and technozion in the months of dec-jan. A lot of books are available in library. Some classrooms are equipped with digital boards whereas most are not. A lot of sports facilities are offered in the campus. A lot of clubs are present in the campus most popular ones being business club, Robotics club, LDC club.

Rooms are provided with basic facilities like lights, fans, begs, chairs . The meal quality is reasonable considering the price charged that is 1725 Rs for 15 days across all mess in the campus. The price of hostel is 13000 per semester for JOSAA students and 30000 per semester for DASA students.

The faculty to student ratio is vey poor near about 1 isto 150 in classroom , in labs it is reasonable . The faculty are well qualified. The faculty are quite approachable barring some faculty who are present in every college I think .
