Course Curriculum Overview
The corriculum of course is highly well structured, maintained and revised when needed. It offers more than sufficient chapters for the cources. It helps in understanding real life applications as there are theory as well as lab sessions. One of the teachimg improvement that can be done is giving more weightage and invest more time in coding part rathar than the theory part. Frequency was exams are also a bit high. They take 2 internals and 1 final exams and also take 2 quizes and 1 digital assignment all within one semester for each subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees can vary depending on the program and whether the student is from India or outside India. It also depends on your rank in VITEEE exam which defines the category of fees structure which can be viewed from VIT Vellore's official page.
Campus Life
There are 2 main fests in VIT which are the Riveria (Main fest) and graFEST which is a technical fest. graFEST is held in the month of February whereas the Riveria is held in the month of April. Talking about library, VIT Vellore has a extremely big digital library where maximum amounts of books of each genre is available. In classrooms there are smart classes which helps in learning. There are many clubs and chapters for social interaction as well as social learning and VIT has a many sports facilities but most of them are paid.
Admission
For Btech CSE you need PCM in 12th class with some minimum percentage of marks in each subject. The admission process is done through an exam called VITEEE. The application form can be easily available through VIT's official site and the fees of exam is nearly 1K. There are no reservation benefits in this exam.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio in VIT is fair enough. Even though number of students are really high in VIT then too there are enough faculties. Morever VIT gives opportunity to choose our own faculty for courses. The mode of teaching is quite same like other colleges where they teach in smart classes through pdfs and using blackboards for explanation. Teachers are highly qualified and well educated. The interaction between student and teacher basically depends on the faculty but most of the faculties happily interact with the students to solve their doubts.
