Hbtu kanpru is the oldest engineering college of our country so the alumni network is very good here every top company has a person from hbtu kanpur in top position.the faculties are qualified and mostly phd holders
Faculties are very experienced the lab here are well equipped and fully functional the infrastructure is decent enough and placement was good in tech branch overall it is a good option if you can't get into nits and iits

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and placements in core branches are not good enough overall it is a good college

The teaching methods is very good and professor teach the subject with interest they slowly take you from basic level to advanced level of the subject the difficulty level of exam here are tough you cannot pass the exam study just before the exam

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are good for cs and it but in core branches you have to struggle. The alumni network is good so the college provide internship but overall the r internship opportunities are not that good here

Placement Experience

You can eligible for campus placement after 6th semester the placement statistics are good here you can get a decent job after your course and the college give you enough time to prepare exam like upsc , gate etc

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here at HBTI Kanpur are 1.35 lakh even it is a government college, the fees are high the scholarship are provided by government and financial assistance to the reserved category only you get tuition fees in your scholarship

Campus Life

The overall experience of college was good there is lots of clubs to join and every year we have technika, our technical fest and adhyay our cultural fest our tagore library has lots of books the sports activities are decent enough

Admission

You can get hbtu kanpur after giving jee mains for btech admission you have to score 60 percent in 12th and 55% for reserved category there is state quota for the students of uttar Pradesh is you score above 90 percentile you can get hbtu easily in lower branches

The faculty to student ratio is good enough you can easily talk to your teacher any time after the class all the faculty members are phd holders and experienced but some teacher doesn't entertain much they just come and take lecture

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats. Counselling goes for three round.If not get selected, you can try last time in spot round if seats are vacant. Only students with jee mains result will get admission....Read More
