Life at PU

I admitted for CSE because I really found it interesting and have a good hand in it and as I enrolled and started attending classes I found out that how much potential it holds because of the teaching methods, understanding and practice sessions, the curriculum is nearly new because it gets updated with time to be more relevant with future technologies and as per the exams , you can really pass them just by attending regular classes but if you want to score higher you will have to work on your skills because the placement also have a criteria for CGPA , the exams are held 2 to 3 times in a semester first there is a weekly exam which is held after 1 month of semester then there comes the mid semester exams which are held in the middle of the semester and finally there is a end semester exam which completes the whole semester and along with all this you will have youe viva ,assignment and projects included in the semester so you'll be busy the whole semester.

The college provides a number of internships with really known companies like Microsoft, IBM , oracle, ISRO and many more known but most of the internships are unpaid because of the fresh interns but as you start to do internships more and more you will be able to find a number of internships that are paid and are offering a full time job if your performance is really good in tha internship period, there are two projects in whole 4 years . First one is in the 3rd year which is the pre final year project and the second one is in the final year and will be the final year year project the projects must be based on real life problems and solution to it in a really efficient and effective way so that it can be used by masses and outshine your resume in the placements

The students are eligible for placement form 7th semester and companies starts to come to the campus before the semester starts so you can say as any student passes the 6th semester they are eligible for the placements from the campus, there are so much known companies which comes to the campus for recruitment like TCS , Wipro , Infotech, Sophos, adani, ICICI Bank,Sun Pharma and many more offering an average package of 5 LPA for entry level and starts to gets higher based on your skills .

The fee structure is very simple as there is a base course fee then a exam and a college fee which totals with the amount of almost 2.2 lacs for 1 year which is normal for engineering in such a big and known college but no worries because you will find a number of scholarships at the admission time you will get a scholarship based on your 12 percentage and after that you can find eligible scholarships and apply for them during the college time , and regarding placements the university provideds a number of placement and internship opportunities for students and conducts training sessions for placement training, the campus placement are really nice offering almost 70 to 80 percent of placement to the students.

If you are in PU how can you not know about the Parul University's annual fest DHOOM and Projections both events are held in winters and are really fun including so many activities like modelling, concerts videography and many more and the Projections Is the technical annual event of PU and it offers opportunities for development, coding, gaming and hackathons which are really good for the technical aspects of yourself and to further increase in your knowledge PU has its vast collection of books in libraries to get a much better experience for readers and enthusiasts.

Hostels of PU are great for campus experience because it provides the best out of the campus and there are so much perks of living in PU hostels that are Gym, sports courts and the open movie show that is held every weekend at night , living in different places and in different hostels I found PU hostels to be really different and the quality of food in mess is really nice and the room offer you a seperate bed , almirah and table chair for personal use and as you start living in hostel you will be provided an hostel kit which will be having a towel, a water bucket, a pillow and a blanket, and regarding all of this the hostel is really affordable according to the facilities it provides and there are rooftop cafes in some hostels to chill and relax

If you want to enroll for engineering you must have mathematics as a core subject in 12 standard and a min of 65 percentage to be eligible for admission, you can find the application form on the Parul University's website and if you are visiting the campus you can enroll from the admission cell and you'll find plenty of people helping with all this making it a very easy process for admission there are no reservations for any category so feel free to enroll and the admission are open from May to August every year .

The teachers are really qualified and helpful because they are mostly of young age and have really good knowledge in their field they will provide you a good assistance whenever you need and suggesting a good pathway for future , the faculty members are very much approachable because you'll find them mostly in the staff room whenever they are free , each class has nearly an amount of 60 students so there is no problem in understanding the faculty and they are really talkative and nice in nature and provide a good info about the industry standards and how can you improve your skills and get placed from the campus
