Likes
- The faculty of the microbiology department is very supportive for any kind of hands-on work. The environment of the college is also free going and anti-ragging and pretty safe for students.
- There is a common library for accessing all kind of books needed for the courses and is friendly to all the students. The books issued are all in good conditions and maintained. The laboratory is divided into 2 sections and is handled pretty well.
- The culture room has laminar and incubators to work and there is abundance of resources to work with. No inhibition from the faculty side on the accessibility. In the last semester a project work is carried out for future practices in the laboratory.
Dislikes
- There is not much to dislike about the faculty as they are very supportive towards every student. Although infrastructure wise the college maybe a little small compared to different colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum followed by the college maked it easier for the students for further studies as it provides hands-on work so the students has a ease on their hands. Various students come here for using lab for their summer project work.The exams are held every 5 to 6 months into the semester with internal and external and results are issued in 2 months.
Fees and Financial Aid
the college fee is 6k, and Various scholarships under the West Bengal government are availed for the students, leading to a reduction in their fee structure. All in all, along with the admission fees per semester, center fees and examination fees are to be submitted to the college office.
Campus Life
Overall college life if taken microbiology under this college would be very very interesting if you like doing labwork ad praticals. The libraries provide all the books yjat would be eeded for the course. You can also enroll in NSS and NCC if you like and their are socials and various other festivals arranged every year for the students to enjoy.
Admission
The admission is merit based on the basis of the twelveth percentage. You need to apply for the admission by directly going on the website and enrolling for the desired course uder this college and after the registration date is completed the merit list is issued with the name of the students and application number to apply in the respectibe departments, mine was microbiology
Faculty
There are 5 members in the facukty and an intake of 49 students. The classes and lab work are performed in abundance without any hindrance. The students are allowed to perform all the work related to practicals under the guidance of the facukty members. The teachers are very approachable and easy to talk to about any issue from head of department to all the professors.
