Likes
- Campus area is vast and integrated with all the necessary facilities like air conditioned classrooms and big library with all the needed books. Also campus have two canteens for better functioning.
- Faculties of PSIT are experienced and polite, they help a student as much as they can and most important they listen to problems of students.
- Placement opportunities are always available for the students who are eligible and academically good.
Dislikes
- Management of PSIT is somewhat not polite and often deny to even listen to problem and students.
- Attendence criterion and very restricted environment makes student not reaching their potential.
- Placement eligibility criterion are very high and most of the students are not even allowed to sit for placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science always interest me thats why I choose that stream. PSIT provides a lot of extra training to prepare students for real world problems. However, few trainings are now no longer in trend so they can opt for other adavance trainings for better placement opportunities. PSIT have five internal examinations which occur every 3 weeks on an average and they help students for better external examination results.
Internships Opportunities
Very little internship opportunities are available in the campus, good students are advised to seek for internship outside the campus. However a lot of placement opportunities are there for the students in the campus.
Placement Experience
From 5th semster onwards, students are advised to take internship from oustide the campus, as no internhip opportunities are provided by institute. Students from 6th semester are eligible to sit on placement drives. A lot of companies offer placement in campus including some big ones like Atlassian and Infosys. Highest package can go upto 40LPA each year. About 60% students get placement from campus. I want to apply for Mtech after my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
PSIT does not have any fees increasing policy as far as I know but every new batch they hike the fees by ten thousand rupees. Total cost of my BTECH is about 720000. Not many financial aids are provoded to students however students who secure more than 65% marks with no backlog are eligible for state scholarship programme. Campus provide very few internship which are close to none.
Campus Life
Ignitia is the biggest fest which happen once a year for two days in January or February and its a lot of fun. Library have almost every book a person needed for its course. Classroom are equipped with projector for better study. Sports activities and extra curricular activities are close to none. A lot of clubs are there in the institute but they are majorly inactive for most of the time.
Admission
Any person who secure about 50 percentile in JEE mains is eligible to take admission in Btech CSE. However one can take admission directly too. In order to take admission one has to visit college first then apply for test, on basis of the test, admission is given. Direct admission test can be given once per year and it is not much tough to crack, and of you know any programming languages then one can take admission in any stream of his choice without any hassale.
Faculty
Faculties of PSIT are very polite and they are always ready to help students in every situation, they listen to each and every student and try to involve every student in studies. Ratio of teacher to the student is somewhat fine and does not hinder anyone in study.
