MUJ- Amazing for a great campus Life, Poor for academics

I always had an interest in computers. I wanted to pursue computer science, but didn't have Maths in my 12th grade. Though I was very happy to know that MUJ provides BCA without a Maths background, but if you're doing so at least pay some special attention towards maths for students with non-mathematical background.

The internships provided in the college are ridiculous. The offers will be from some unknown foreign companies that would require you to pay for the accomodation there which is way too expensive and out of reach. There is zero assistance provided towards internships. I am in my end of 2nd year and haven't done even one internship yet. If you want an internship, you'll have to look on platforms like LinkedIn and Internshala.

Placements are offered by the college, but the placement drive is very inactive. They used to call so many companies earlier but now, this has declined too much. Most of the time, only the top 5 students get placed from the placement drive. Most of the students use the resources present in the campus to improve their skills and get a placement off-campus. Off campus placements are on an average of 5 lakhs and could range upto 20 lakhs. My plan is to pursue MCA abroad.

There are available financial assistance and scholarships. One can sit in the exam of it after they have joined college. I would like to mention that MUJ is a rich kids place and so is the fees here! The college is pretty expensive even if I not include the hostel, mess and tuition charges. If you're going to live in campus, it's going to pretty expensive. The fees are hike are a common thing in the fees structure. There are no campus employments and stipends awarded.

There are many fests organized in our campus. One thing special about MUJ and what most students like about is the happening and vibrant campus life of MUJ. It gives freedom to students to explore, interact and learn! Every festival and event is celebrated with full enthusiasm. The fests are big and brand like concerts many famous bands and celebrities come to perform here. Many celebrities also come here for movie promotions. Recently Sidharth malhotra and rashika came to promote their movie yodha. It was an incredible experience to witness that. MUJ is known for amazing campus experiences

They provide you a very aesthetically pleasing room. The rooms are of two categories from which you could use premium and non-premium. The premium ones are pretty expensive so I would recommend the non-premium ones. I live in it and its pretty good. The rooms are air-conditioned and have attached bathrooms. Also, there are cleaning and laundry services provided. The mess food is amazing! It is delicious and yummy. You won't feel the need to eat from outside. The hostel rooms are allotted during the admission processes only.

The eligibility of the course is not even a thing in MUJ! They do mention that they take in students from any background with at least a 55% in 12th grade, but I have been with students who have scored less than that and are still in the course of BCA. The admission was very direct. I went to college, filled the form, submitted the fees and admission was done.

The student to teacher ratio is fine. But, the problem is with the teachers. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced yet they chanelize their knowledge into teaching students. They don't look out for students opinions and have poor teaching methods. Very often their projects and assesments are with unclear instructions and are not guided well.
