- College Campus is larger than other nearby colleges .
- Some technical societies are winning national level contests.
- College sports team participate in zonals , and many other competitions and win most of them.
Dislikes
- Very unnecessary rules in college and as well as in hostel.
- You can't rest in hostel room during classes if you are found , you would be fined
- College and hostel both doesn't have AC , in hostels you need to bring your own cooler that too for few months and they also charge extra electricity bill for cooler.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is very strict when it comes to attendance, you will be debarred from internal and as well as external examination if you don't maintain attendance above 75%. No matter whatever reason is behind less attendance whether it be health issue they won't allow you to appear for exam.
Placement Experience
The students who are involved in any disciplinary case in the college are debarred from placements from the day of that incident. So the number of students who appear for the placements are generally less in number. The average placement is 3-4LPA . In core branches like electrical , mechanical, civil , electronics the placement is more than 90%. But for cse and it branches placement percentage is less than 80 . The highest package offered is 1.13 Cr.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees remains nearly constant every year, and the academic fees in all the nearby colleges is nearly the same. Scholarships are available in the college. For complete btech the tution fees will be 5 lakh(excluding University charges). After including all the charges the graduation cost lies between 5-6 lakhs(without hostel).
Campus Life
Cultural societies in the college are not worth their hype , they only call meetings for random discussions . There are often disputes in societies for who will become head next year. Sports in college is at a good level . College allows sports team to participate in only few events . If they provide more funds and allow for more events then the sports in the college would be at different level.
Hostel Facilities
There are no AC provided in the college hostel, the mess food is okay . In summers you need to bring your own cooler and also pay 900 per month as electricity bill till you are using cooler. Water coolers are not working properly . Rooms doesn't have attached washroom or bathroom. There is a common washroom and bathroom for all the students at a single floor. Nearby pg at sanchi and Ryan are very unhygienic.
Admission
There are 2 modes of admission Direct Admission through management quota and the other is through UPTAC Counseling. For direct admission you need to visit the college appear for PI and a written test after which you will be given choice between branches which you can choose. For counseling method you need to register for UPTAC Counseling.
Faculty
Some faculties in the college are outstanding like bandana mam she's the best teacher in the whole akgec , but on the other hand some teachers are not teaching properly they hardly complete the syllabus. Faculty to student ratio is 1 faculty per 70 students.
Interview Experience
There was a Personal Interview taken by the HOD and Dean First year separately. They would ask general questions like where are you from , how much you have scored in boards and jee . Were you part of any curricular activities in school. What you want to become in future. After this there will be a written test which would be basic PCM . That would be of 30 marks.
