Syllabus are designed by the experts of the departments . The senior most professor design the syllabus considering the strengths and weakness of other professors and distribute the syllabus accordingly. The only problem with the syllabus is the extra compulsory courses. Like who needs a compulsory course from other subjects in their masters.

Placement are very good in this university as compared to other universities in West odisha with an average packege of 800000 . Companies like Tata. Mahindra , Hindalco and others giants offers placement and internships in every 6 months .

The registration portal of Odisha PG admission is SAMS . Once you get a seat in Sambalpur University after cracking CPET exams you have to pay 8000 approx, depends on which subject you are taking an admission into. Once you pay to SAMS your admission process will begin than you have to pay 6032 rupees to your department. Then hostel admission fees is 3300 rupees . So a total of 17000 to 18000 is what you have to pay to study in Sambalpur University

Tha campus spreads around 600 acres covered with greenery all around. The University organises theatres every year from all around India. You will see Cultural fest very less. There are literaria and cultural groups among students which you can join for your own development. You will enjoy the springs in the campus which looks very beautiful throughout the year , especially the springs and the winters.

Hostels are very good. In the first year you will be accommodated with 2 roomates and in the 2nd year you will be given your own personal room. Hostel fees per year is 3300 There are 5 hostels and 3 hostels have mess service. The food is good. Apart from that you can stay in rented houses but it's quite hard to find a house for bachelors. So it will be better if you go for hostels. .

Entrance examination - CPET . You will have to crack the exams . The exam are very easy . You just have to study the graduation syllabus of Odisha which you can download online , just search Model CBCS Syllabus ODISHA. The entrance exam has 80 questions and 2 hours time. Rest 20 marks is your credit marks that depends on your percentage in graduation.

There are 5 faculty in each department. Everyone is highly qualified and keen to listen to you and solve your problems . Every department has their own smart class and their approach to teaching is in a problem solving way . You can interact with them when ever you want to. During the office hours also after the office hours through WhatsApp or calls.
