- Department of applied geology is far better then any other universities or colleges they provide us benefits of geological field visit and also introduce hand specimens of rocks to students.
- Campus is good and offers 20+ courses in the field of science with different combinations.
- DHSGU Sagar is having its campus on the top of the mountain which looks like Switzerland in monsoon. Our first prime minister Nehru has given this name to university. With the well maintained departments it offers best natural connections to us.
Dislikes
- Laboratories in some departments are not maintained even there is lack of modern equipments which are responsible for lack of interest in students
- Lack of canteens and local food stalls in University which cause lot of trouble fir students.
- Local students are not socially active they are not good in the communication and lack of exposure in them can make some trouble.
Course Curriculum Overview
• As I have got to know about when I was in counseling in this universities and I have searched for it after studies I got that information geology in this University is best as compared to other universities. • After this all teachers are always giving us real world experience like wise, is first semester we went for field work, in second semester we are studying hand specimens of minerals, in third semester there is rocks. • Difficulty level is quite high in the course but the professors in University makes it easy by there mentoring skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
•Tution fees in this University is affordable for each and every group of society. Because the fees of the courses are very low. • There is no extra charges in the university and not other compulsory charges are applicable to the students in the university. • Scholarships are also applicable in the university like. NSP:-12000/year, SC/ST/OBC:- 6000/YEAR. These are major scholarships which are useful for students having good marks in there 12th marksheet. • Hostel fees of government hostel is very less around 200/ month without any extra charges.
Campus Life
In Dr Hari Singh Gour University we celebrate GOUR GOURAV UTSAV in the birth date of SIR DR. GOUR which is also said to be dewali in University. Our university in having BIGGEST LIBRARY IN (M.P) which is very proud for us and you can get books for each and every course there. Classes are digital in some departments or halls with well furnished modern equipments. Every year University conducts selection of students for the youth fest and sports fest which which increases the interest among students. In our university there is also groups run by students themselves for making them interested in all the extracurricular activities in the university which helps in the developing communication in the students.
Admission
•10+2 in any Discipline. Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR), EWS & OBC Category must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination. • Student must have registered for the Dr Hari Singh Gour University to take admission in the university. Without registration no one is able to get admission in the university. • Candidates belonging to defence reservation are always prioritised in the counseling, after them students from NCC are selected. •Students can get the admission form from CUET UG/PG website and can register from DHSGU official website. • University should advertise there registration link thoroughly which helps in the increase of admission in University.
Faculty
•In DHSGU faculty is sufficient as in the ratio of students. Each and every class is conducted on a time and faculties are always there for class. • Mentorship of faculty is very well even most of the faculty is from the IIT which helps us in getting best knowledge of that subject. • Personally I can say that the teachers are always interactive with me and always helpful with each and every student.
