MITS Gwalior: A Detailed College Review

The Course Curriculum is designed perfectly in my terms IoT they planned a very good course and there are improvements happen every year feedback was taken from graduated students what are market trends/skills the students need to learn and students can also give feedback after their course is finished. So it is a very good designed course for everyone but one blender they have done, I have taken the Degree for IT IoT (IT Department) but after months of joining the college we know that our degree is changed from IT IoT to the Internet of things (IoT) and IT department is removed and now we are in center of IoT. and IT is also removed from our degree but one more problem happens that there is also Electrical Internet of things their name is also changed and their name is also Internet of things. the only difference in our degree is IT IoT was -> Internet of things (IoT) and elect IoT was -> Internet of things. and if you see the cutoff of both branches they differ from 2 lakh rank OMG!.

Companies that give internship opportunities were many companies such as Amazon, Persistent System, Dotech, and others companies. stipend is based on the student but some of the internship is unpaid also . Mits also encourages students to do good projects like dotech company is also a project of a student of mits.

Placements of MITS have not Good in recent times as the recession is going on in the IT sector and only CS, IT, and electronic departments placements are there for mechanical, chemical, and other branches there are very few opportunities is there. so talking about recent placements only 1 MNC came which is accenture and giving 5-6 LPA, other companies like Kloudspot, Tiger Analytics, and other companies as the placement report of 2023 has not been published yet but I know from our Faculties and very few people got the placement in 2023 .average package was like 4-5 LPA.

MITS fees are very high compared to other govt. colleges and no financial assistance is given and only state govt scholarships are there like OBC, ST, SC, or Meghave Yojana, Fees increase year by year for our Btech. batch fees are 137650 for the first year only and hostel fees are like 85000 per semester and the hostel is for only 1st year. and prices increase every year so it has high fees although the infrastructure is also good, especially newly built infrastructure its AI labs were outstanding and there is a high chance that in every class there will be AC in the new building which is essential in Gwalior hot summer so fees will increase.

Cultural fests are not allowed in our college but academic events happen every month and there are many clubs you name skill there is a club for it. Coming to the library is not a very big library, the library is small compared to the strength of the students there are also not many books, a book shortage happens every time and no new books only old books are there and very little space to sit and learn in library. The facilities of the classrooms were good especially in the new building and its labs were amazing there are many groups, clubs some of them are GDSC, DLG, codewar, IETE club, and for web development there is Incube club.

The exam for mits is none other than our JEE MAINS Exam. Then Counselling is done by the MP DTE site and the MITS cutoff is high as the CS branch closes on 85000 rank in jee main process and my ITIOT branch cutoff is nearly 1,40,000 rank General Category although the process is very smooth, once college is allotted to you then go and reserve your seat by paying 1 sem fees which are 1,03,650 in one time,there is also loan option available of Indusland bank as its branch is in our MITS campus only

Our Faculty is outstanding, mostly Ph.D.s, many are from IIT & NIT Ph.D., and some even have done post-doctoral. faculty-to-student ratio is high but many students don't come to classes regularly the ratio becomes good. Their teaching methods are also good and faculty feedback happens every month you can tell teachers if you want to change the style of teaching or don't understand the way he is teaching, and you can always directly approach the teacher also, You can talk anytime to the teacher in their cabin or when they are free even you can ask doubts and GATE question to them.
