IEM: Heaven

I've always wanted to be a businessman but due to peer pressure i had to opt for science my whole school life. It was around my senior year when i undertook a career counselling exam and realised it'd be better for me to go for the management course. Therefore i took BBA. BBA profoundly prepares an individual for the corporate world, how to navigate through various problems and how to solve them with optimum results. Our exams are held a bit earlier than other colleges but we also get a longer vacation as compared to those other colleges. the questions in our exam are moderate level, it's not so hard that passing it is a challenge.

Me, being a first year student, was not allowed to do internships but my friend did one. She's from BBA LLB and she went to calcutta high court for her internship where she was given various case studies which she had to solve within a stipulated amount of time. After the internship course you'd be given a certificate which'll help an individual during the time of placements.

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 3rd year or the 6th semester. Various different and famous companies come to iem for recruitment. Such as Accenture, Deloitte, SAP Labs, etc. And the average package from these placements are around 8-10LPA. The highest package that someone got was 30LPA. Around 80% of the students gets placement. Whereas my plans after completing this course is going for MBA after cracking the CAT examination.

The total course structure for my course, which is BBA, is of 3.2 lakh for 3 years. 60000 per semester. If anyone wants to extend the time period, they've to pay accordingly. Scholarship chances are given to students wherein they can register to get a certain amount by the college, starting from 1 lakh. Campus employment chances are also provided. On the day of freshers i put up a stall of clothes from where i earned around 3.5k in one day.

IEM holds a lot of cultural and social events and activities all throughout the year. It ranges from Football tournaments, debates, hackathons, etc. The main fest of IEM is known as INNOVACION where singing, dancing, etc occurs, where the students can take part and show off their skills. Books are available at an abundance in our library, where one can get lost in the aisles while surfing through the books. Our classrooms are pretty comfortable with proper ventilation, proper air conditioning, has projectors which the teachers use to help us teach.

Anyone who has 75% above in their 12 result, can opt for btech course in our college, and above 70% for BBA. The application forms are circulated after a semester gets over around the time of may or june. Students has to go to ashram building in sector V to reach the admission office where they'll go through the documents, such as an individual's mark sheet, admit card, etc. The frequency between an odd semester exam and an even semester is around 1.5 months to 2 months where the difficulty is moderate level.

The faculty or the teachers of our college are professor level having various phds. It really is easier to understand a subject if it is taught properly and with proper examples. our teachers do just that. The teachers also use projector to help us teach and understand complex concepts. And we can also approach a teacher anytime we want for our queries.
