- Since some years University is not organising official fest only hostels and some union like ncc scouts nss are organising.
Course Curriculum Overview
I m pursuing Ba Hons Geography. Here not only we study geography but also we study the ethics and value ge paper English language and communication also which signifies that to students fell not bore by studying one subject. We study the geoinformatics and remote sensing which helps in making a. Map chart to study any map . By studying geography we know the changes in environment .I will like to suggest one things is that the time table are seems like very tight . Students having very less time to prepare themselves for any other exams . There should changes in time table .
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many financial help by the Government of Odisha and Government of india . Like. National means meirt cum scholarship , state scholarship, nua o scholarship, etc . Students get almost 10000 per annum with respective scholarship. And the almost 7100 cost of total addmission fees + other services .
Campus Life
The infrastructure is best in all Odisha. And having the largest library of odisha There are many fest organise by University annual atheletic meets , etc. all class rooms are very well maintained and having smart lab facility. There are heavy scope of sports and extracurricular activities. Many students joined ncc, nss, for development there personality.
Hostel Facilities
Ist during addmission we have to apply for hostel and then there will be a merit list and distribution of students in different hostel with vaccancy. All hostels are inside the campus except one boys hostel . It cost almost 7100 per year . And monthly to pay the mess bill which run by the hostel which cost 2k per month with very good quality of food. And if any student unable to get any hostel then he/she can stay in pg outside the campus in very affordable price.
Admission
12 th pass student can pursue the ug course they are eligible for the undergraduate courses. Before 2021 students have to fill the ravenshaw University form for addmission but from 2022 it comes under sams . Which selection based on cutoff percentage during the year . The addmission counter should follow by more official . 1 2 official are very slow and there needs more officers to work fast and smooth.
Faculty
Teacher are highly qualified and looks professional . All are from well and passed there qualification from highly top University of India like Delhi University, JNU, BHU, etc . Teacher guide and mentor and having one particular class also. Teachers are divided according to groups of students and having there class. All are having a well experience of almost 6-7 years of teaching and some are 10-14 years of teaching . Teachers always clear the doubt and they are very free friendly innature which attracts students to study more.
