College Confidential: Revealing the Realities of University Life

I feel course curriculum is quite good to prepare for real world. We are taught different coding languages in each semester so we could get a good exposure to each language and at the end we can decide which language we can excel in . It's just we need to give exam every month like we have 2 internals and 1 final end semester exam so all marks are clubbed together. I guess it should be changed as one of our exam is open book and hence quite tough

We need to choose courses offered by CDC for credits if we are not going under any internship. Companies provide stipend internship in third year . Companies like TCS, Infosys etc offer internship in IT sectors. Vit incubated startups also hire interns but without any stipend.

From the 4th semester itself students become eligible. Vit also provide help to students who start their own startups under vit incubation . Many MNCs visit campus and placement ratio is also good. Mass placements also happen . Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, cognizant etc comes . Many other companies also come which provide good packages .higest package was in crores . Average package is around 6lakh to 10 lakhs per annum. Career council department also provides many courses to do during internship periods

Tuition fees is around 2 lakhs for my category there are different categories in which they give admission and fees constantly increases for each category then there are NRI categories also. If we get good ranks in their entrance exam i.e VITEE se get scholarship i.e fees waiver like 25%,50% like this. Many of financial aids are available as there are many schemes going on to help students criteria are given according to that one can register itself.

There are 2 major fests of our college one is GRAVITAS which occurs during the month of September end or October it is basically technical fest involves more of a hackathon, quizzes, coding competitions etc other one is RIVIERA which occurs during the month of February it is the fest involving concerts, dance competitions, lots of fun food stalls, games and many more fun activities. The books in library are really very helpful we are having 3 floored library and it contains books of every topic.

There are 2 types of hostel for girls apartment type and non apartment type. Apartment types include washroom for each 3 rooms whereas non apartment have washroom on each floor. Each type of room is available 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded, 6 bedded Mess is not so good like we get very okayish food not that good quality moreover college being in South is more dominant for South Indian food .

Admission process was quite smooth. First of all we need to give their entrance exam then when we will get our ranks we can take admission in respective branch and criteria they enable us to select multiple branches according to our ranks and then we are shortlisted. These all information are circulated through mails . We can easily find all the application forms on the vit website itself. The exam is very good as there is no negative marking this chances of getting good marks increases. Difficulty was moderate to high . There were even orientations during admission process to clear all doubts

It depends as we need to make our own timetable and choose our own faculty so it solely depends on your luck which professor you choose. Sone of them are really great as they teach very well and they are very helpful but some of them are kinda blacklisted and very strict and don't even give good marks in exams
