Course Curriculum Overview
Unit tests are conducted thrice a sem and best 2 scores are taken. The difficulty level is moderate in these exams. I was interested in electronics and semiconductor sector so i opted for this course. This circulum prepares less for the real world applications and we need to self explore our domain. The course must be made more industry specific and the teachings must be more lab focused.
Placement Experience
Form 3rd year onwards only you are eligible for internships and after the 3rd year completion you can easily placed if you are having the required skills for the job. In these recent years the college provided a lot of offers to all the branches in IET COLLEGE. Average package was listed 4.5 lakhs. And the highest on campus was 28lakhs and off campus was about 56 lakhs. About 70 percent student gets placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees is same for all the 4 years as you take admission. If their is any hike that would be Applicable for the next session students. All the state and central scholarships are available here. The scholarship cell is also very coordinative. Currently the total fees is about 90000and sem exam fees is nearly 2500.In recent years we have a good college placement in all the top branches .
Campus Life
The college has almost all the kinds of clubs and we are free to open any new club if we want. The library has all the essential necessary books for the academics. Sports is also decent in our college. Their are a lot of events happening all over the semester. And a yearly fest is also organised.
Admission
The admission process was quite hectic as their was a heavy traffic in the college during the admission. The application form should be fillled their in the college itself after the allotment by MPDTE counseling. All the reservation benefits are as per the MPDTE allotment. The admission process can be improved by Alloting more counters for the students during admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is decent. Many of the professors have a high knowledge in their domain. But in my opinion their theoretical approach to teach ing must be improved and more practical lab work must be promoted. And more industry exposure to specific branch students must be promoted. The teachers are easily approachable and are open to discussion.
