Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I believe our curriculum to be apt. There are frequent internal exams to have us prepared for our professional exams. However i feel the curriculum could include more clinical based senarios and we can learn better clinically than theoretically

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provide one year mandatory MBBS internship to build our experience. Our hospital have huge patient flow from different parts of the state which provides ample clinical cases for knowledge and experience. Our role in internship is to practice as a general physician, an MBBS doctor.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this is a government college where admission is granted according to NEET rank. Our monthly fee is Rs750/- per month. The duration of our MBBS course is 4.5years + 1 year internship. Admission fee was about Rs8500/- So total comes out to be 49000/- Scholarships are usually provided by the west bengal government. (Akkiyashree sholarship) We have to do a compulsory internship for 12months , the stipend for which is Rs29000 per month

Campus Life

5

The campus life is best in CNMC. We have a lot of festivals and fests celebrated over the year. It begins with the celebration of Republic Day in 26th January Saraswati Puja in February In march we celebrate Reunion of previous batches. In april we celebrate our Foundation day. In May/June we celebrate Freshers Party which is known as UDDALOK, for new batches. In August 15, we celebrate Independance Day. Then comes the biggest medfest of Eastern India which is AGON. Its is a four day event celebrated on the last 4 days of September. Events haul at September and us students start preparing for our professional exams after the amazing events. Our library has every book needed for our curriculum and more. We have huge lecture theatres where we our taught. Demonstration rooms, dissection hall and laboratories in the college, 2 auditorium. There are frequent football, cricket and badminton tournaments. Extra curricular activities like dance, chess, singing, music, quiz.

Admission

Eligibility criteria is: 1) 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology 2)Entrance exam was National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) The application form and other details is released in the official site or NTA which is nta.neet.nic.in for specific duration announced by NTA at the same official website I belong to unreserved category so i did not avail any benefits of reservation. The exam happens one a year in the first Sunday of May (subjected to changes during emergency situations). The duration of exam is 3 hours 20 minutes. The admission process is more or less smooth but i feel that it could have been smoother. Because at some centre it is terribly managed. So the management needs to be improved.

Faculty

4.5

We have great faculties. They provide us with best knowledge and they are very helpful. Our professors are very experienced in their fields. The classes are interactive. We learn a lot from our teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
