Likes
- The positivity, chaos, the student diversity is the first thing i noticed and fell in love. Beside this Ravenshaw university is good at hosting events and extracurricular activities.
- As I'm from the psychology department i can say only about the psychology department. The faculties are good, well equipped. Their teaching skills are comparatively better.
- Ravenshaw is famous for its iconic red coloured buildings. Recently it has opened it's 2nd campus which is also red and beautiful.
Dislikes
- Ravenshaw authorities should improve the security of the campus. Outsiders are roaming freely inside the campus.
- Even though the faculties are good but the strength is low. We need more faculties
- The placement in MBA, mass communication and IT departments are good but when it comes to department like psychology, sociology, philosophy etc there's a very low rate of placement
Course Curriculum Overview
The course that university is providing is basic and includes general information about all the necessary sub fields. The course should have included clinical psychology as special paper. We have total 4 semesters including 8 seminars.
Internships Opportunities
Our department provides us a three month unpaid internship at SCHOOL medical college. It's pretty much helpful for our resume. Uni should provide paid internship in the near future to encourage students.
Fees and Financial Aid
It costs around 5000 per year and I've received NUA-O-SCHOLARSHIP this year. In this scholarship I got 9000/- while girl student received 10000/-. Recently there has been no hikes in this fees. It's affordable.
Campus Life
Ravenshaw university conducts lots of events, annual functions, Recently they hosted walking Bookfairs then they hosted the annual function of the university then on the occasion of nuakhai festival they hosted Nuakhai juhar.
Admission
The eligibility of course is you have to complete your bachelor's then appear in the CPET exam. After that according to the ranks you'll be selected. Reservation plays a big role. As of now I don't have any reservation.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 5:32. It has a negative impact on the learning experience. Teachers are not able to spend much time with students separately. All the faculties have completed their Ph.D. and also NET qualifiers. We can very often interact with teachers. They are very much approachable
