The curriculum is apt considering the industry as well as the PhD applicants.It is well up to date.The exams are challenging as they should be given the course is fantastic. The curriculum dives into wetlab and dry lab skills suited for today's industry requirement.

Placement Experience

Placements are doen after semester two. Eli Lilly,Novartis,Strands Life Sciences hire candidates. Highest packages are 10 LPA above offered by TCS. I plan to take the placements as well. Almost 95% of the people are placed. The details are put up on the IBAB website

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees is given in detail on the website. Fees for one semester is 62,000. Hostel and mess fees are around 25,800. All of this is quite reasonable. We have an excellent placement record. Companies such as Novartis,Eli Lilly come each here to hire the students. Financial aid and scholarships are available to the students that cover their expenditure.

Campus Life

We have an annual edu fest done by the students every year bringing in participants from various colleges. We have sports committees,social media teams. Infra is amazing.It is well lit,air conditioned,well maintained and modern. The greenery is refreshing and helps with sports.

Admission

The course takes in people after an entrance followed by interview. The application details are put on the website. The exam tests basic mathematics and scientific knowledge. Eligibility is any life sciences degree.

Faculty

We have mentors assigned that interact with us on a time to time basis giving us guidance and tips about career and our interests. The faculty are excellent researchers and passionate about their field.

excellent in acedimics

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

Different schools from South India come to college and takes interviews and other selection methods to give placement to students on the basis of marks and their performance in different selection tasks. The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time
