Course Curriculum Overview
The course circullum includes both maths and computer science courses. like linear algebra, multivariate calculus, probability & statistics, measure theory etc and 40% will be of cs courses like DSA , ML, algorithms etc. The curriculum is always updated every year depending on the growing technology. there are 2 main exams per semester (mid & end semester) along with quizes 2 or 3 per sem. assignments are given frequently to make the subject better understanding.
Internships Opportunities
A 6 month internships are avalible for studnents in their final year of graduation. They can get PPO from the company. And also during their 2nd or 3rd year summer break students also do a 2 month internship.
Placement Experience
Average CTC is about 11LPA. Highest is about 50LPA offered by google. Students are eligible for placements in their final year first semister (7th sem). Students can do 6 month internship in 8th sem and can get PPO. during the summer break students can also do a 2 month internship .
Fees and Financial Aid
fee is 1.2 lakh per semester and there are scholarships for (sc/st) students, they can get financial assistance form various government scholarships. students can apply for teaching assistants under the professors in their 3rd or 4th year of study. At NSP portal you can apply for scholarships if you are eligible for it.
Campus Life
Presently there is no permanent campus for IIT Goa. Land has been provided by the goa government in 2023. so it may take few years to get a permanent campus. Present campus is in GEC college, it has good classrooms, hostels and library, gym, gounds etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is avaliable to sutdents by the college. Hostel buldings are near to the classrooms and its walkable distance. so no need for any bicycle. Post graduate students have a separate hostel bulding located in ponda, which is 5km away, they travel by college bus everyday.
Admission
Admission is done based on the performance of jee advanced exam. you can see the cut off ranks on jossa portal. there are reservations for OBC, ST, SC, EWS , PWD students. Based on your jee rank, you can apply through jossa portal.
Faculty
Most of the faculty are PHD holders, have vast knowledge on the subject, extpertise in research. Faculty help students in teaching uptodate syllabus, projects etc. faculty to student ratio is about 1:6 ratio.
