Dyal Singh college bsc Non Medical review

Well I had good interest in mathematics so I choose B.Sc. (Non Medical) . I wanted to opt for B.Sc. Mathematics Honors but it was not available in the college. BSc Non med is also good there are many things to learn and with practical knowledge also . Regular practical classes are taken and experiments are taught to students . Additional courses like c++ are also taught and in physics the computer programming subject is also taught with regular computer classes . However the job opportunities by doing this course are not there only the students who really learnt the additional courses well can go for a career in computer science or you can become a teacher of the same subjects you studied.

For the general students the fee for the first year is around 14400 and for the second and third year it is 12000 . Scholarships are only for the candidates having reservation. No fee for SC or st students . The tuition fees increase about 1000 to 2000 rs in every two years . There are no extra charges other than the tuition fees . Sometime college provide some additional courses for the students ,for those courses also the fee is justified.

Well the overall experience is average as there are no fests or cultural events in the college . Its very boring to survive in the college for 3 years because the college is only study oriented . A sport meet was held in March which I think was held after about 3 or 4 years. The library is very nice and large . Many books are also available and environment and infrastructure of library is I think the best part of the college. One in every three classroom have a smart board and projector. But the teachers use it very less. There are no social ground and clubs run by students.

To be eligible for the course ( BSc Non medical) the students must have passed 10+2 with Non Medical stream . The application form is filled from the official website of Kurukshetra University. The student must choose the college as preference number 1 to get admission in the college . The exams are conducted by the university as per semester-wise but college also conducts it own sessional exams which are held before the semester exams . The difficulty level is between medium and hard sometimes it is hard. The checking is very strict and many students get re appear so one must prepare well to get passed and score good

Most of the teachers are pretty good and hardworking . They make sure that the student is learning and they help when there are doubts or problems . Even two three teachers are so hardworking that they take extra classes to properly complete the syllabus and students get more knowledge about the subjects . Overall faculty is very good and friendly with the students . Only 1 or 2 teachers are there who are rude and don't even listen attendance call properly but in teaching they are good .
