Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well organised to make the student well prepared for the real life challenges they will face in the opds after the completion of the course. There are regular opd visits and visits to different related sites eg. Health care centres.
Internships Opportunities
The college give compulsory internship of 1 year to all the students just like any other medical college. The internship helps the students to gain working experience on actual patients and enhance their learning.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee of the course is 1 lakh 45 thousands rupees, hostel fee- 6000, mess fees-30000, in total the fees of the course for 1 yr is approximately 2 lakhs. The students can enroll for scholarships through the national scholarship portal. This scholarship will provide the students relieve from the admission fees.
Campus Life
The college lack co-curricular activities, it doesn't have any clubs. The sports ground is in bad condition and the auditorium is also not open for any student activity. The known fest of the college crescendo has not been held in the last 5 years. A small sports and culture fest was organised by the students in that also there was very less support by the college. The library is good it has all the required books and facilities. Zero social and no extracurricular innthe college makes the campus life boring and very monotonous.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is affordable, it is only for 6000 rupees for a year, and the mess charges are 30000 for a year. The hostel is nice and clean but there is water problem in the hostels. The washrooms doesn't have proper working flushes, one out of the 2 water coolers is not working. The study room is in very bad condition. The locality is ok for renting room but hostel is much more affordable than pg. Mess food is good overall. One can easily apply for hostel during the admission process.
Admission
Admission in the college is through a neet exam and the cut-off for the college for state quota is general-556, Sc-407 The college is allotted through the counselling process held on the site of nta and for state quota it is done on the site of Uttarakhand medical counselling site. After the allotment of the college, the student has to physically present to the college with original documents(10 certificates, 12 certificates, migration certificate, caste certificate, domicile, birth certificate, copy of aadhar card, and copy of PAN card).
Faculty
The faculty members are all very nice. And The ratio of faculty to student is also good. There are alot of faculty people who are very supportive and understanding. The faculty is open to all type of student problem and support the students very well academically.
