Likes
- The quality of education is very good in skit. The test papers, practice sessions, assignments, curriculum are very apt for developing one's skillset.
- Placements drives have been arranged for the betterment of students so that students get fair opportunities.
Dislikes
- Education comes from great teachers and here some teachers are not so good.
- Rules for student affairs is not very good. There is a cell referred as OSA ( Office of Student Affairs ) but its not that much supporting.
- Teachers do promote self development but only to an extend.
Course Curriculum Overview
Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology offers a variety of courses mainly Engineering and in Computer Applications. Relevance of curriculum includes industry alignment, practical exposure, soft skills development. Comprehensiveness of the curriculum is very vast. It covers a wide range of courses which can be persued from the College. Skit also encourages research and innovation.
Internships Opportunities
SKIT provies internships such as : Summer Internships Semester Internships Industrial Training Companies also offer good internships to eligible students in various departments. Recently I also did Python Programming Training from College itself which was a phenomenal experience.
Placement Experience
College organised campus placements in college itself every year in which students of 3rd, 4th year are eligible to appear. Several Companies visits college placements every year in which most of them are well known. Companies listed below : TATA Consultancy Services ( TCS ) Infosys Wipro Cognizant HCL Technologies Tech Mahindra Honeywell Bosch John Deere Adani Group Ashok Leyland. Highest Package offered till date : 27 lakhs ( on campus ) Average Package offered till date : 5 lakhs ( on campus ) Every year 85 to 90 % students gets campus placements. My plans after this btech thing....I might persue Mtech from IIT's.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee : Rs. 51000 per semester Complete cost of Education : Rs. 408000 + extras ( books, notebooks, stationary ) Scholarship: Merit based Government based Social Welfare based NGO Industry Sponsored Research based. In all SKIT JAIPUR provides enough sources and Scholorships so that students can take advantage of it in most beneficial way.
Campus Life
Name of Annual Fest : PRAVAH ( Feb-Mar ) A wide range of books are available in Library including Course books, Reference books, Competitions books. Every year annual sports day is organised named AAVEG in college premises. Sports include Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton etc. Clubs are there for ectra curricular activies which includes dance clubs, music clubs, innovation club, technical clubs, coding clubs etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room are not so big. Student is provided with one table, bed and a cupboard and a fan. For summers, ducts have been there in complete Hostel. There are 4 meals in mess which includes Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner. Food Quality is 7 out of 10 which is a decent rating.
Admission
Admission is done on merit list made from JEE MAINS rank and REAP RANK. Appication from needs to be filled in order ot take admission which can be collected from college's official site or students can take it from college itself. Reservations are there for each category including SC, ST, OBC, Gen-EWS. There is no Entrance exam as such cause JEE MAINS rank is the main criteria for admission.
Faculty
The quality of Education is very good in SKIT Faculties are well trained to handle each student but some are not so good. In a class of 60 students, everyone gets enough time to get their doubts solved. Approch of teaching is well enough so that student can be easily opened up with all their doubts and understandings. Staff rooms are there for interactions and if any doubt or student need any help, they can simply go to their staff room and they get good support and teachers help them to resolve their issues.
