- Placements of IIT Madras is obviously good as it is IIT and also provide intership opportunity from the second year. Average package are currently 15 lakh per annum but surely as it is a new degree it will increase with time and crore package will .
- Also we are getting the access of campus and the main thing for which IIT is know because of its students, so will be getting brainstorming session with top brains in the country. Also after meeting then we get so much to explore as they will startup
- And facilities provided in the campus is a lot more then what fees they have taken.
Dislikes
- Too much big campus, you will need to purchase cycle for you daily chores.
- As it is in Chennai so outside campus all people are tamil speaking.
- Weather of south India too much humidity is there .
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is updated and match with the industry standard, and this was the reason I joined this degree. Also now it is the era of Data , industries are looking for Data Scientist but they are not well trained. Other than that difficulty level of exam is I will rank 9/10 , it's really difficult to score 9 cgpa specially after first year.
Internships Opportunities
After the Second level that is diploma level , college provide us intership opportunities and other than that we can also apply it for off campus is both Programming and Data Science field. With IIT tag it get's easy to approach a company or get recommendations.
Placement Experience
It's IIT so first of all placements are guaranteed itself, since it's a new course packages are not going that much high like regular students of BTech program but within two-three year it will match those standard as it's a demanding skill and growing industry. Also after this many students are planing for Gate exam as it's syllabus exactly matches with our curriculum for GATE DA paper .
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a flexible degree, in four year there are four different levels. For first level you have to pay 32000 , for Diploma level you have to pay 134000 approx, and in the degree level for Bsc 70000 and for BS 124000. Also many financial assistance are there based on Category and family income.
Campus Life
Amazing infrastructure in so less fees, 900 acres campus with best library in the State and Places like OAT , CLT are there for various programs, IIT Madras fest is in top 3 fests of the country and yes the campus is soo big you definitely need a cycle ????.
Admission
The qualifying criteria for this Course is not really difficult, you will easily admission if you just have basics of math's cleared upto 10th level. The admission process occures thrice in a year i.e. In January term , may term and September term. For qualifying exam some reservations are there like low passing marks.
Faculty
There are too many faculties in the campus including the instructors and teaching assistants. Professors are highly qualified, most of them are PHD holder and themselves are in reaserch also they are really kind of we ask to provide us a project or join us in a project they do it and you get a lot experience from that .
