A comprehensive review of My college: Shridevi institute of engineering and technology.

My course is booming nowadays,so that's the main reason I choose this course. The curriculum overall is good but it is mostly theory based,so we have to make our own efforts. Even though this course also focus on making projects which are useful in real world. Some subjects are not relevant according to me ,so we can drop them from our curriculum. Teaching methods needs to be better as our course is new so it needs a new and innovative approach. The exams frequency varies from semester to semester, semester duration is also changes from 3 months to 5 months ,so it effects the frequency of exams. Sometimes the exams frequency is good but sometimes it is very hectic for us.

As a tier 3 college, college placements are okay. You need to focus on your skills to get placed in this college,most of the companies come as a pool campus recruitment or they conduct examination on national level or State level for recruitments. Companies which visit to our college are like BIT , Accenture,first American,and some of them are also there. Companies like justpay ,myways.ai ,SOTI also offer us to write their placement exams which is conducted on national or State level. The average package offered is 4-5 lakhs,but companies like justpay also offers 10 lakh package but they don't directly visit our college. Highest package last year was around 7 lakh and average was 3-4 lakh. The overall percentage of students getting placed are around 30-40 percentage. My plan is also to get a job after degree during the degree through campus placements

Normally tution fees is fixed for whole duration of course,during admission whatever it is decided,the tution fees remains same. Sometimes exam fees or hostel fees can increase but tution fees remains same. The overall cost for my course is 6-7 lakhs but now it is around 8-9 lakhs ,as it is increasing every year. Scholarships are there in our college,you have to give exam to avail the scholarship,if you are from the same state. Government scholarships are also available for same state students.

The overall college life is good but not that much great. The accessibility of Books through college library is good and also online portal is available to get important books. Annual festival known as Shriutsav is held during june- July in our college normally,but it can be prepone or postpone 1-2 months according to different scenarios. Classroom facilities are good,as teaching method is mostly board and chalk method but labs are available,and projectors are available,for studies. Labs are really good for our branch students. Sports facilities are okay,you have to do more work to take part in sports,as college sports helds only during college fest once a year.If you want to take part inter/intra competition in university,your initiative is more important. Some technical groups are there run by students but they are not active most of the time.

Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are of two types- 4 members or 2 members. 10000 extra charges are their for 2 members room. In Each room almirahs, chair and tables are provided according to the number of students. Fan is available, electricity is provided for most of the time, cleaning facilities are available. Overall combine charges of mess and hostel is 60000. Food taste and quality is not that much good. So you have to manage the food issues,rice , chapati, legumes,sambhar , vegetable are there in the menu,but taste is not that much good . Hostel registration can be done during admission only ,if you want to take hostel and mess facilities then you have the pay the charges for that also during admission. I didn't rented any room in locality but you can rent rooms near college,if you want,mess facilities are also available in locality.

The admission process is quite simple,as you have pass your intermediate exams or if you are doing diploma,you must have to pass those exams,for direct admission in this college. But there are also state based exam known as cet for admission of state students,and for outside of the state comedk exam is there. If you get cut off rank you can get admission in this college,for cet you need around 4000 rank to get admitted in this college. You can find application form from college website or you can directly come to the college and get admission. Also if you give entrance exams like cet or comedk you can choose this college based on your rank,and afterwards you have to come to college for further admission process. Exams frequency varies from time to time ,as the duration of each semester is different,if semester duration is less then the exams frequency are high , overall examination level is between easy and medium. Semester duration must be fix and overall fees can be little bit less.

Faculty to student ratio is good,each department have their own teachers,so the ratio is good,but quality of teaching varies according to subjects,some of them teaches really good while some of them are okay. Faculties are well qualified most of the teachers approach is good,but sometimes it lacks in overall quality. As a mentor teachers are really good and supportive. They are very much approachable and we can meet them often if we want or have some doubt.
