Study is tough but competetive

I dont like NIT Raipur college life as students are not open minded. But i am GATE aspirant so it is very good college for me because study is very very good in CIVIL department in our college.

Teaching method is good . NIRF rank is also good. It is in Central india. Vegetarian food is available in mess of hostels in campus for boys as well as for girls. Atmosphere is good nearby college and we can meet other colleges students also which is near our college.

As everyone knows civil engineering gives maximum government jobs in india.There are so many competitive exams in civil engineering and subjects in it is very intresting and simple maths and less thinking oriented. The course in our branch is same as other colleges syllabus. We get all syllabus nearby of college.

Actually L and T company comes in third year for internship and give pre placement offers to the students. stipend depends on the company and but it is not easy to get internship. One should be in top20 in class of 80 students One must pass the aptitude and english and interview for getting the internship.

Placement is basically depends on branch as computer science branch students are placed 90% but in civil engineering there is 40 to 50 % placement. According to me if any student is in civil branch and he is maintajng his CPI then he will never fail in life anywhere.He will surely get placement. He or She may be placed off campus or on campus. But in coming years placement is going to be increase as per my experience. Placement in civil - 4lac to 12lac. company comes L and T Escon

Avartan - technical fest as celebrated in each colleges. 40-50 events which is related to knowledge , mind and other types. each event has a prize of some thousands for winners. 3 days event it is. other college students come in this event. Eclectika - cultural fest. it is also 3 days event. 1st day - games and events. 2nd day - EDM night. 3rd day - any famius singer comes. all other colleges are invited. Samar - it is sports in which all possible sports are played in nit raipur ground. There is very less spectators as i have seen. No hostelers is intresested to go and see these games.

Fee structure depends on income certificate. Fees is not expensive. For less than 1 lac per annum -Rs4150 For 1 lac to 5 lac per annum -Rs65000 For above 5 lac per annum - Rs130000. It is feasible to each student and scholarship is also available there.

Yes , depends on student performance. There is state and central scholarahip available for the students. I also gmhave got Minority scholarship. For SC and ST students there is scholarship of large amount.

Campus life is not like it should be. Because 35-40 % students are from South so it is north and south students are not in too much in contact to each other. they prefer to live their in their groups. So please dont expect a good college life there. If anyone want to go for serious study then it is good.

Hostel facilities is not good for 2nd , 3rd and 4th year student. Only 20% students of each branch get hostels. Topper students of each branch get hostel in campus. Other wise you have to live in PG. Mess food is as the habitats of chattisgarh. As i am from UP i dont like the food of hostel. Hostel is very cheap. Rs32000 Is one year living include mess charges. But really hostel facilities is not good.

Alumni is helpful for students. If any student belongs to a poor family then alumni may provide college fee of that student if he/she deserves. Senior is good and campus is 0% raggging. They help us in studying and discussion of everything and afterall it depends on your nature also.

Exam in end semester is really tough and difficult. They ask maximum IES questions and GATE questions in exams. Syllabus us given and will be prepared by faculty own. Student dont need too much tensed about syllabus completion. Even question is very good and patterned as teached in classroom. nothing comes from out of classroom.

firstly i was going to kota forjee mains coaching and then i give jee mains and got around 22000 rank. then before counselling i have seen all nit colleges details and all thibgs related to colleges like study location , distance from house , accomodation , placement , faculties ,etc. i have checked last years opening and closing rank of different branches in colleges so that i would get my favourite branch. I was keep updated myself with jeemains official website and other college review websites. I was also in contact with my nit friends.

As civil department faculty of civil engineering branch in NIT Raipur is very highly educated and have very good knowlwdge.If any student is absent in any class teachers ask him in next class to him why he was not come in last class so teachers are very closely tensed with future of student and caring also. Each teacher discuss all the doubts in class. There are extra classes also in our department if syllabus is not completed. They help us in project also.
