Collage reality of Chitkara University

The course curriculum is very vast in mostly includes every subject and its content that is needed for the placements and interview. In our 4 years we are taught every language and subject, but at the same time it's on the student who is giving his full potential towards its study because otherwise the faculty does not give any pressure due to the very large size of the batch.

The collage start giving internship opportunity to every student starting from 3rd year. They start bringing as much of the companies they can bring and after then it's only the students hardwork whether he/she can crack the coding rounds and interview process. Many multinational companies and startup comes to our collage.

They placements are quite good in our collage with average of around 7-8 lakhs for B.E BATCH. The placement season starts as soon as you get to your 3rd year and last until you are placed. You get a choice whether to try for off- campus placement or on-campus. As usual of you apply for off- campus you would not be able to set in on-campus placement interview as they then remove your name. As of my knowledge the highest package of 2020 batch was 42 lakhs and thats quite good

As of my knowledge in North India chitkara University is a good collage to go to if you have not much options and also the fees is not that high you can easily complete your graduation in 14-15 lakhs. Each years its around 3-3.5 lakhs. As every year the fees may increase a little by 5-7 thousand. The collage also provides many financial support schemes such as education loans which can always help you. Although there are no scholarships or stipends available.

The overall campus life is quite of what you have imagined. It's not that big of a campus and as time passes you will think of getting smaller. Although many new buildings and hostels are being developed. The hostels and mess facilities are quite nice. And the restaurants inside the campus are also quite good. you always have to wear chitkara's uniform while going to class and can not move around in campus in informals before 4:30 pm. Their are also evening classes of some batches.

Hostels are quite good they provide all the facilities like refrigerator, microwave, induction and other that a student might need. The mantainance are also good. The mess and staff are also quite cooperative as long as you cooperative with them. Their are strictness imposed by the wardens but only in good ways.mess menu also changes every semester.

The admission process was quite simple you just have to go to the collage when the admissions are going and register your name with the necessary documents. They give admissions on the basis of first come first serve so thier are no worries that you will not be able to take admission unless you reach before admissions are over. They don't check any of yours previous scores or qualifications for admission. That's the thing I think should be improved a lot in order to decrease the batch size where the whole problem lies and their is a lot of students in the collage.

The faculty to student ratio is very big it's like 80 students on a single mentor although it's very rare the mentor comes to the class and talk to us or teach us something but we are always free to go to the mentor if we are having any queries or doubts. They are very cooperative and help us to the best of their knowledge.
