Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is being conducted as per NMCs rules. The curriculum is more clinically and patient oriented than before, and it has been reflected in the exams as well. Exams are being conducted every 2-3 months

Internships Opportunities

internship duties in CMC is very active with active involvement in all departments due to very high pafient load. All departments provide excellent training opportunities during clinical rotations lasting for one month

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable with it reaching to a maximum of Rs. 40000 per year with all miscellaneous fees included. Those with reservation can avail fee concessions with respect to mess and entailed fees

Campus Life

Apart from Academics, CMC is well knows for its very active extra- curricular life. The college union over the past years have been working day and night to make sure that the students rnjoy a life beyond books and clinics. Clubs for each activity has been set up and organises several events every year

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite good. The mess is excellent, which is not surprising since Calicut is renowned for the quality of its food. The hostel fees is around 12000 per year with concessions for those with reservations

Admission

The entrance exam is NEET. The approxumate cut off would be around 680 marks ( with respect to NEET 24 ) . The admission process during counseling is smooth and will be over in half a day. The in-charges are always ready to help

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio during lectures is a bit underwhelming although it has been compensated for with the introduction of smal group learning scenarios and during clinical postings. The faculties are experts in their fields with years of experience backing them

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
