Engineering life.

The strictness in the college is good. Most of the faculties are good. Labs computers are not good.

I have opted this college because this college in ranked 1 in Meerut engineering colleges as it is also the part of MIET college and it is also near from my house and all the facilities is easily available for me as the bus, etc. The environment and the strictness are well in this college.

Initially when I or any student take admission in engineering college then he or she has been taught all the branches basic knowledge about the engineering branches. I found this part very much interesting then approaching towards the second year the subjects are distributed branch wise but here I found something messy that there was no choice for the students that they can opt their subject of interest and this was same in the third year also which I am currently pursuing...

Up to now I didn't found that the companies come in the college for taking out the student for internship but from the college side college use to send the mails to students if there is any internship for students in internship sites like internshala, etc.but college don't call the company by itself for taking the students for internship.

Talking about the placements and job opportunities then I will always say that if the student is performing his task in the academic result good and even if he is average or below average even then the placement and the job for all the student is very well in this college.

There are some events that are not fixed for every year like any technical event that depends on the student which make that event fruitful and there is one annual fest that takes place in the odd semester of the engineering students annually. Other than these the fresher's party always take place at the college.

According to my opinion, the fee is very expensive. It is around 1 lakh of academics and other than this 16K for bus facility. Before taking admission in this college the admission cell promised for giving the scholarship to the students who will score more than 80% but they don't do that. This is what I feel bad for this college that they don't stick to their words.

The scholarship is offered by the college but that is only for the students who have scored above 75% in their 12th class board exams and this benefit is availed by those students every year.

The campus life is always good with friends as we all know that. Talking about the gender ratio it is approximately equal every year and I am somewhere nit satisfied with the extracurricular activities and the labs of the college. What I found is that labs were taken seriously at the initial stage when I took admission but as I move forward the labs are not taken seriously in some of the labs. Sports activities are taken occasionally in the college and debates and rest thing take place in the annual events or any college events organized by the students if the college.

I am basically the day scholar but I am having friends who live in hostels, when I talk to them then they use to tell me that the food quality is not that much good as they expect. And sometimes even I have eaten the hostel food in events then I also found the same.

The seniors are not that much support but some seniors are supportive if we are having good binds with them. What I found that only one or two senior use to like in touch with the juniors but rest are only up to them.

Talking about the exam structure, there are total 3 internal exams of the college including 2 sessionals in which half of the syllabus in one sessional and rest half in another sessional is there in the exam and then, at last, the Pre-University exam is held in which the whole syllabus is there. And after these three internal exams, the final external exam for the semester take place outside the college in any respective center.

Firstly I have given the UPSEE entrance exam for taking the admission but my marks were not that much high that I can get entrance via entrance exam but luckily I have got the admission via direct admission procedure. This was my procedure of taking the admission in this college.

The faculty of Meerut Institue of Technology is quite well and supportive in every instant of problem. They always support the students when they need them but some of the faculties are also that type that they have made that type of image that student sometimes uses to think twice before talking with them... Its sounds funny but it is basically in every college so we just ignore that problem.
