VGEC pros and cons

Vgec is the best place for students in terms of student, activities and all the other things but the only problem I face is due to water and food.

Actually, it is the 2nd no of college in Ahmedabad. Moreover study here is the best which u can't compare. Here I came to know about all the facilities like labs, auditorium etc which gives the student a purpose for his study as well as other activities. Various types of festivals I can enjoy here like TECHFEST which is important for other activities

The course curriculum is generally straight.it contains various types of subjects according to your branch selected. Various courses are available like chemical, mechanical, civil, computer, it, electrical and many others for the development of the students.

Yeah, they give internships to the students. I don't know much as I am in 3rd year but I do know that internships they provide for some 20-25 days time. In that, you have to complete that and I didn't do so I have not to experience but soon I have to also take the internships.

The main advantage of vgec is its placement. Most of the students get placement. Different famous companies come to college for recruitment and from70 students 25-40 students get placement.S o there is a great opportunity in this college to likely to get placement.

VARIOUS Events are celebrated in college. Like vgec sports festival in which all type of sports is included like volleyball, football, kabaddi,kho kho etc. Moreover, other events are also there which consists of Singing, dancing, mimicry. One of the main events is TECHFEST which is celebrated per year in vgec. Various technical and non-technical events are there in this TECHFEST. Spell bee, droid hockey,lazer miz, Sherlock, the star and broker etc.

Fees are generally less expensive. U have to pay the college fees of Rs 1500 and gtu exam fee of Rs 800or750. Generally, as gov college fees are not more that's the big advantage. So the students can easily fill it and it is feasible to all of the students.

I have only availed the scholarship called mysy. Various centers of these are there in college for the must help.it is available for both the students at home as well as for the hostel people.

As we all know that the iit was first developed at vgec.No doubt all the type of curricular activities, events, whether it is technical or nontechnical, takes place in college. droid hockey is one of the events in which players make their own robots to play a match like a football or a hockey.

Hostel facilities are not much good.U can stay there but the food is not so good. So par of the students goes to other places for eating purpose. Mess food is quite good.U can have a variety of things in there. We can get whatever we need to eat whether it is Punjabi, Chinese etc I will 8.9/10.

Yes, of course, they are helpful. Moreover, vgec alumni are the easiest and fastest method to be known beneficial to students.

Exam structure consists of two exams one midsem and other gtu.Today Continuous evaluation has also started instead of mid sem in which daily tests occurs (weekly).Final exam is gtu which comes according to semesters even and odd.Even semester generally r long consisting of4-5 months while odd r small.

First I have to give an entrance examination called JEE. Based on that exam marks u can opt for college and also all over marks of 12th. Ur ranking should be within 5000 and less than that to go for Vgec. My rank was 4980 so I got there. U have to fill forms provided by the college and then I got admission.

Faculty in vgec are good. They are giving their full potential to make each of the students understand. Not only theory but also practicals r taken by them and they make us perform each and every practical individually due to which each student can know and perform. Even if any doubts r there we can easily ask them and they surely give u the best answers. All faculties r well qualified and teach very well in terms of theory and practice. They also take class tests for the better improvement for GTU and mid-semester exams. Simply they r very well.
