- The Academics are good, it is not very stressful and can be managed quite easily with some efforts
- Lot of tech workshops are held pretty often in college
- Social life is also pretty decent, fests and events are good
Course Curriculum Overview
I feel that the curriculum should be slightly updated and newer technologies should be introduced. Exams are held quite frequently with continuous quiz assignments as well. Exams are of medium difficulty level
Placement Experience
Placements differ from branch to branch. CS, EE, EEE, EIE, ISE have Good placements. Mechanical Civil have somewhat okay placements. After degree i plan to sit for placements. Highest package is about 50LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
If you change your branch then you wil have to pay more. If you come through KCET exam fees is quite affordable. COMEDK is slightly more but still pretty decent. Otherwise, it is very expensive. Hostels of BMS are also quite expensive.
Campus Life
UTSAV and Phaseshift are the 2 main fests of BMSCE. They are fun. If you stay in BMS hostel, the hostel also has 2 fests. There are plenty of sports opportunities. There are many clubs according to interests and one can start new clubs according to interests as well.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Room is okay. However it is slightly expensive. There is washing machine available. Common bathrooms. Food is provided 4 times a day - breakfast lunch snacks and dinner. There is no dinner or snacks provided on Saturdays
Admission
Good ranking in KCET/ COMEDK Is required for afmissions. There is also a GOI quota where . Admission process can be made a little more quick and fast than oreviousl. yyou can take admission through JEE exam
Faculty
The teachers are okay, they are knowledgeable in their subjects, most have Mtech/ Phd. You can talk to your dept teachers and build a bond with them and later also participate in their research as many of the faculty are a part of some research
