- It is one of the top self financing colleges in Tamilnadu . So Quality of education is good and we are practically educated through competitions .
- In every semester we have to do projects and internships. So by that we are improving our practical knowledge and industrial experiences.
- One of the best things is that placements because almost 95% of students are getting placed every year .
Dislikes
- I heard my hostel friends saying that hostel food is below average
- The location of the college is so complicated but the area is developing
- There will be tests and exams within short period so it will be stressfull to cope up with exams and projects simultaneously.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is designed according to GATE so it is like mandatory for us to attend gate exam from last year. They do not encourage us to sit in the class and read the syllabus instead they encourage us to learn practically through centre of excellence labs and to get on duty to go to competetions and internships. Every friday we have aptitude test and coding test , 2 weeks once internal assessments.
Internships Opportunities
I have undergone 3 internships until 5th semester and none of them is with stipend , the recent one i have gone to is Sun pharmaceuticals limited. Then you can get stipend internship if you try hard . Core projects has to be done every sem and they give credits for that.
Placement Experience
From 6th sem onwards placements training will be started and companies will be coming. Accenture,HCL, world line ,TCS, Cognizent etc are visited. Highest package is above 50 LPA and average is like 5-6LPA. Moreoverly 95% above are getting placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee is increased last year from 1.6L to 2L I guess but I'm not sure. I'm paying 2,10,000 rupees every year including bus. Scholarships can be availed for students who get 180 above cut off and they have to pass the interview conducted by college during admission.
Campus Life
The annual technocultural fest is held in even semester for 3 days. In Odd sem there will be symposiums. Apart from this will be having pongal celebrations, diwali and new year celebrations.Smart boards will be there.There are like more than 10-20 clubs run by students.
Admission
We can get this college through TNEA councelling if you have like above 190 cutoff . Management seats are easy to get . Exams are comparitvely easy here because they provide like question bank. They wont need any improvement in admission process.
Faculty
Every section of class is comprised of 60 students and there will be 2 class advisors. Experienced staffs are the best and they teach according to the students interest but there are some staffs hardly to cope up with. Every department staffs encourage the students to participate in competition and also they help to get the internships. Interactions and approachability with teachers are easy ,we can freely chat and call with them.
