Good college in West Bengal

The college is really good for all-round development provided the student takes active participation.

1.Its rich heritage in educational history, especially it being one of the best colleges in India for B.Com degree. 2. Its fees structure is comparably cheaper compared to other private colleges. 3. There is no political involvement inside the campus. 4. The students are very competitive.

The course curriculum is:- 1. At par with the syllabus of CA/CS. 2. A lot of standardization with respect to the outlook towards each subject is maintained. 3. Students are not at all spoonfed. 4. The curriculum is so challenging that a student will prosper only if he is regular and disciplined.

No, the college doesn't directly provide any internships. However one may contact the placement cell for helping in getting the internship. The senior teachers also have good contacts and will definitely help in getting a good internship.

The job placement opportunities are really nice, especially for students who have just graduated. There a lot of good companies who come for campus recruitment e.g Deloitte, ITC, P&G, Earnest young, Oyo rooms etc. There are job offers related to almost every field. Around 100 students get good placements through the campus placements.

There are a lot of events conducted by many societies run by the students of the college. Each student can easily find his interests and participate in the respective events. The event which is kept awaited throughout the year is Xavotsav and Beyond Barriers.

The fees structure is comparably cheaper than that of other colleges in India. Being it a Private institution and its a very reasonable amount that they charge, looking at the benefits and facilities that they offer. Some students are also offered a concession in case of belonging to low family income group.

The college provides concession to students having financial problems, but no special loans are provided.

The campus life is a really happening one. My department had only boys while all the other departments have both girls and boys. The computer practical lab is huge and very well equipped. One can always pick up his interests in sports, music, dance etc. And carry on with the studies.

Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The hostel has a very good maintenance staff and a strict discipline is maintained. The food is better than other hostels, however, one shouldn't expect it to be of the same as we eat at home. The rooms for accommodation are 3 seaters, 2 seaters, and 1 seater.

The alumni network is really strong it consists of personalities of occupying eminent positions. The alumni are really helpful in case of getting jobs.

The exams are conducted on a semester basis. There are 2 semesters per year. A Continuous assessment test is also conducted as well as class seminars and group projects keep the assessment schedules really fruitful and benefits as per the competitions in the outside world.

The selection was based on the merit-based result of class 12. 3.mathematics was a compulsory subject one should have had in class 12 or else his form would have been rejected. 4. The selected students have to undergo an interview where the vice principal and the Dean of the department meets each candidate individually.

The faculty staff are:- 1.very cooperative, especially in the department offices. 2. The treasurer office has the best staff, so any issues related to fees transactions are very efficiently dealt with. 3. The maintenance staff plays a key role in keeping the campus clean. 4. The security check is very strict, only students with valid ID are permitted inside the premises.
