WE ARE MCAINS (MIDNAPORE COLLAGE AUTONOMOUS)

My subject is statistics. I completed my 12th on 2022 on pcmb But after that I heard about statistics form one of my elders . That it has various scope especially in the field of data science, finance. Etc . Also there are so many govt. Job opportunities like ISS, NITIAYOG, QUALITY CONTROL, RBI -DSIM etc. I research about that and then I pursue it. In my study i will learn the various programming languages like c, c++, R, python, SQL, Etc also I will skilled with SAS, SPSS , statistical modeling, time series, data analysis, statistical survey, operations & research & so many more . It will help to make carreer in data science, data analytics, finance, quality controll, R&D, buisness analitics, machine learning Etc . In our college generally the semester are held between 4-5 months gap from one to another. Generally statistics is one of the hardest subject . So obviously the difficulty level of it is to . Moderete to hard .

From 5th or 6th semester . They are eligible for placements TCS ,EY , Deloitte,capigemini , Wipro ,ibm,oracle ,jio ,ICICI Bank or some others visited on campus but generally BCA & computer science students goes for placements. Median package 2.5 lpa . highest package 8 lakhs 50% students are placed . After getting degree for this i will go for higher studies in finance.then I will prepared for RBI -DSIM exams for Central banker .

Collage is govt. Autonomous, so the fees are less compared to other colleges It is around 7000-8000 per year . It includes all the tution fees,exam fees, library fees etc. There are Swami Vivekananda's scholership, 18000 per yr NSP with the amount of 18000 ,from governments and others are private . generally the amount is more than government scholerships. Our course is BSC statistics so we get placement opportunities.but the packages are low .compared to the masters .so most of our students goes for further studies.they pursueMBA ,MSC ,Mtech like programmes.

our annual festival is ANANDAM . They are held typically March or April. Our college library is one of the top library in West Bengal. It has huge collection of books in every sections . For competitive preparation, journals also and for our ug exams . Every rooms are well . It has many sports options from cricket to football, basketball , tenis and others . Our college has SFI group, controlled by seniors students , it works for students problems . It's visions are excellence , passionate, integrity, progressive, collaborate , respective .

In our college, they considered 12th marks, especially math marks. The application form is find on college website 45% of the seats are reserved for sc, st, obc, also they get more scholarships. According to me, it is one of the top colleges in West Bengal, so if it can take admission tests separately. it will be the best. because if a student gets low marks in 12 for any reasons, they can't get a chance in this college.

In our department. Especially in my batch we are 12student only. We have 4 teachers . Also they are well qualified. So the ratio of the teachers & students is 1:3.they are always available for us . They try there best to improve ourselves . From discipline to effectiveness in study. If i have a problem in my studies or something else, I always interact with my respected teachers like other student , specially Our HOD mam. The try there best to solve our queries.
