- The faculty specially of department of Geology and every other respective departments too
- The atmosphere it brings .The atmosphere of learning and growing like none other .
- The campus absolutely. There are very few campus which have that aura and serenity.
Dislikes
- The placements . University definitely need to work on that
- Batch size for masters courses ..it should be narrowed down to 30 at maximum
- The hostels can be more spacious and more guarded
Course Curriculum Overview
i would say there are few changes needs to be done to meet the modern day requirement of industrial growth. We are lagging in some domain and still following the old and outdated pattern .The way of practicals and coursework needs to be updated
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is minimal like 3500 for a year . This is regarding tution fee and you don't have to pay additional charge .There are scholarships funded by Members of Eminence and scholarship funded by university itself for poor and underprivileged students.You will get sufficient amount at around 10 thousand to 20 thousand per year to cover your tution and hostel charges
Campus Life
The biggest event in our institute i.e. institute of science is Akanksha, an annual youth fest takes place in month of February every year.You are free to showcase your talent in anything from comedy to music from mimicry to dance from choreography to debate and in sports you name any athletic sport you find here along with many indoor and outdoor sports.
Hostel Facilities
I lived in Dalmia hostel ,a hostel provided by institute of science for second year masters student. You will get a bed , a table-chair and a fan that's all . The rooms are very small but enough to sustain there .The charge you have to pay is 2875 for 6 months and for mess you have to pay 50rs per diet and you can have unlimited food .The food quality is better than any other PG or hostel . Although you will definitely need not compare it with home made food
Admission
You will have to pass through a common test entrance test i.e.CUET ( UG and PG) for admission in bachelor's and master's respectively. It follows the same reservation as any other exam but if you are BHU student in bachelor's you will get a separate 25 Percent reservation .I want admission to be more timely that's all .
Faculty
If I consider my department there are forty faculties, largest in the country. There are around 120 students in masters including both the years and 100+ research scholars under different faculty members.There is no question about qualification and experience of teachers here in BHU .They are very best in their fields.I had a lot of interaction with them as I have completed my bachelors too from here only and they are very supportive.
