The college needs a lot to improve in aspects of management.
Entrance Preview
One of the best college in Gujarat. Secondly not too far and is a government college with good service. Hostel facility is also available and needs an improvement in both aspects. Need to frame certain rules so that the hostilities would be well groomed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good. In our first year as we are pursuing engineering they feel that an engineer should know everything and for that, we had 1 subject for a particular department in the 1st and 2 semesters. Secondly, as it is a government college course completion is a challenge. Yet they tried to complete it.
Internships Opportunities
Actually, our project was kinda mixed one. But no our college doesn't provide any internship or stipend.
Placement Experience
Placements as far as computer engineering department is concerned is the worst. There were a few companies that too were there for the management purpose during my last academic year. So except mechanical engineering, none of the department gets the desired number of companies.
College Events
Very few events were organized in our college when I was studying in college. Some of them are as follows:- 1) Technothon 2) World Environment Day 3) Sports Week 4)Various days in the month of February 5) Uttarayan 6) Signature day 7) Independence day
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible. See the fees of the government colleges are very reliable and if you are from SC/ST, or OBC you will receive a scholarship for studying and if you stay in the hostel you will get for that too. The semester fees are reliable around 1500 rupees and exam fees are charged as per the gtu rules which is 125 per subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am from general category so I was not offered any scholarship and in the last year there was an exam which anyone passed will get to learn one programming language for free.
Campus Life
Talking about campus life, it was quite fun. Despite my friends were from different department still we enjoyed a lot. Labs were the things where we needed to spend our time but most of the students preferred to rush out during labs. Never got a chance in sports because it was I the hands of seniors. Robotics competition does take place in the automobile department.
Hostel Facilities
On a scale of 5, I will rate my hostel as 2.5 and mess food as 3. When I joined the college the condition our hostel was the worst. It took us three days to clean our room. Moreover, our lockers were also broken and windows were without glass which was a great trouble during winter.
Alumni/Alumna
About the seniors, they were a bit helpful. Because I wasn't in contact with them. And I believe in doing things by myself only.
Exam Structure
It is gtu based. With a mid-semester after two months of the ongoing semester. If you pass the exam you are eligible for the finals. If you fail then too you are eligible for the finals but you get a chance which we say as remedial in which you pass then you are pass in that subject or else you have to carry a block.
Admission
As per the merit and JEE Main, the rank in the state are decided and accordingly the admissions are allocated. I filled my form online on acpc and submitted it with necessary details. Then I verified my documents and after the verification, the college selection process was there in which I selected 8 colleges with GEC Modasa at the top.
Faculty
Some of them were excellent some needed to teach us the fundamentals first and then to move on further. Some were very rare as they used to take only a few lectures throughout the semester. I still feel a lack of training or should say they should have taught more practical things rather than just theoretical.
