Life at shree devi college, Mangalore

The reason i choosed this course was because of logistics specialisation and this college is quite reputed towards this specialisation the college makes us go internships to gain experience on the real world aspects and prepare us for the future, there are few areas to be improved like the time period given for internship can be increased and the exams are conducted every month to test the students on thier capability and prepare well for the sem exams

The college provides with internship in the 5th sem at various company's i did my internship at one of the leading and major port of india that is NMPT mangalore the internship was arranged by the college facilities but there was no stipend for this internship, and in the 6th sem we are given with mini project where we will have to do a intenrship on our own and and prepare a project report on it which is later sent to the mangalore University

While i got my admission the tution fees was 75000/ year but now it got a hike and its like about 1 lakh/ year only for the students applying for specialisation and regular bba would cost 45000/year . Rest there are few fees like university fees for every sem exams costing around 600- 800 then cultural and fest contributions costing around 1000- 1800 per fest, there are no fincancial aids provided all you can do it apply for education loan by yourself and pay the fees and you will be eveb getting some Karnataka gov. Scholarship in between the academics only if you are eligible for it , there are no job opportunities or placements done here knor any stipend

The college conducts a lot of cultural programmes like onam, krishna janmashtami, college fest, djs , dance programme, food fest and many more , they have a wide variety of books in thier library , every class room is occupied with smart board and projector, class rooms are modern and clean , this college gives more importance towards sports as they conduct inter- college sports meet every year and support all the students, the college even conducts college union to handle the students, especially the drug control unit etc.

Elibility are simple here all you need is minimum of 45 to 50 % of marks in 2nd pu to get admission, you can find application form at the office located in ground floor of the building application fees would cost around 200 to 400 rs there are no reservations available but they got seats like around 80 to 85 per section soo its not difficult to get an admission here , exams are conducted every month frequently before the sem exams appear and the difficulty level of these exams are moderate , the loan approval process needs to be improved if the college has a tie- up with some banks

The faculties are well trained and they give huge impact on students towards thier learning especially the poor ones in studies, they are quite friendly and make the students understand each topic in detail, we are even allowed to interact with them offenly whenever we have doubts
