MY thoughts on VIT

As a computer science student , i could give you an insights about the technical computer curriculum.The curriculum is designed in a such way ,that it is inclined towards placements .The curriculum is significantly different from other colleges in terms of the syllabus.As far as my knowledge and my inputs from other college.I can say it is better in vit.I feel that there can still be improvent in the depth of courses like DSA,DBMS and deep learning. The model is for there are 2 CAT or the peroidic tests which will be included in the final grade calculation process with each of 15 Marks weightage .The internals are of 30 marks with the final assessment(end sem ) of 40 Marks.The test are of medium level.

There are different types of companies that had visited for internship in VIT which includes faang companies, and the other service based companies like Infosys ,tcs, wipro, ibm, etc. The genral roles that are offered are sde level for full fledged recuritemnt or as interns in the companies including job training. It is very important and better to do projects for better placements in the vit.

For the 6th Semester , students can try for college placements on campus.There are arount 950+m companies that visited VIT in 2023-2024 with highest package of 88 Lakh CTC per annum.There are 14000+offers for students in VIT. The highest package is around 88Lakh per annum and average for computer science is 12 Lakh per annum.My idea is to go abroad after my degree

There are 5 Categories for fee structure in VIT .The tution fees for the first Category is 2lakh per annum,for second category is 3 lakh per annum.For third category is 4 lakh per annum.For fourth category 4.5Lakh per annum.For fifth catgory is 5Lakh per annum.There is no increase in tution fees for the 4 years of B.Tech.Mine is Fourth Catgeory for 4.5 Lakh per annum.The hostel fees is 1.5 Lakh per annum.There is one scholarship for students which require financial aid.It is "Raja Rajeswari Memorial Scholarship" worth of providing 50K per year.I am in the first year ,so i have not taken any role as of now.

There are 2 fests that happen every year . One is GRAVITAS which happens in fall semester and the other is RIVERA which happens in Winter semester.Gravitas is held in august and RIVERA is held in March.There are lot of books in vit.There are 2 Libraries with 1LAkh+ books.There is a good culture of sports and other activities in VIT .There are numerous clubs which help in the development of student academically and in charcter wise also.

There are 2 types of rooms: One is Ac room,and the other is Non Ac room.Each type has 2 Bed , 3Bed,4Bed,6Bed . The hostel food is very good and the there there types of hostel mess. 1. Special(Veg+Non Veg) 2.Non veg 3.Veg. The combined fees for room(AC) and mess is around 145000-185000. I am living in 4Bed AC of special mess.

The eligibilty is 10+2 qualification.There is an exam called VITEEE which you have to write to get into the admission in VIT. You can find the application form ,fees and dates of VITEEE in website.There is no reservation in admission to vit.The exam will conducted every year only once in the month of April-May.The difficulty level is medium . One who is studying for JEE can easily crack it.

For every 70 students ,there is 1 Faculty .So Faculty student ratio is 1:70. Mainly Faculty members in vit are skillfull with a PhD degree .They have a good and experienced approach in dealing with students.Interaction with teachers in vit is a easy process and you can asks for doubts and other things in the classroom or in the cabin of the teacher.
