Experience of college life

Its best college when it comes to the matter of studies, support, and fees but it also has negative aspects like poor people environment. Infrastructure also needs some improvements.

Its basically located at a prime location which is easily accessible from almost any corner of the raipur city, and it's one of the best in studies in the city where almost 70% of the colleges proves themselves as a failure. Each year,students from this college secures there positions in the top 10 rankings of the university.

Courses available in college are for Commerce, Science and Computer field. Courses like Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, B.B.A., B.Sc, B.C.A., M.Sc. are available in the college. Facilities which ensures better quality education in this courses are available.

No they do not provide any kind of internship currently but i'm sure they will try to provide it in the near future.

Once a student reaches final year of a course, he/she is given opportunities of get a job in some of the reputed firms of the state. Companies comes to the college and do interviews of the student and select the best ones. But the selection rate is somewhat low.

Annual Function are held at the end of each year. A V Festival is also held at middle of the year which have many activites like singing dancing quiz speech poetry essay writing. Also each saturday seminars are held in the auditoriums where different topics are covered each week.

Fee structure is very cheap as compared to other colleges present in the city. You will feel that in this college get maximum utilisation for your bucks. For a 3 year B.Com Course you just pay less then 45000 Rupees. Where many colleges here in the city charges from 100000 to 250000 just for this.

For a low income family person, fees is reduced in respect to the marks gained by him. In some special cases it is waived of if student in brilliant in studies.

Campus life is somewhat minus point of this college in my point of view as i'm a kind of person who don't like anything which is considered bad and here "bad peoples" are famous among girls for there so called coolness which just not good when it comes to the image of college in matter of campus life. Gender ratio is 45:55 in favour of girls. Diverity is the key here as people from different backgrounds, caste, culture study here without any kind of discrimination.

As its a day school there is no hostel facility present in the college campus but when student comes from distant area he can stay in the private hostels present in the neighbourhood. Canteen is available and the area also have some best of the eating places in the city.

Many students achieved great success from this college. Activities held here are also great fun. I myself became a district magistrate for a full single day through a activity held in the college.

Exams are held annually and semester wise. Course like Bachelor of Commerce helds exam annually and rest are of bi semester system. College also holds internal exams and test for better quality education and to have a check on students prepartion of studies.

I came in touch with admission helpdesk in the college and they provided me details about documents, marks required and fee structure. I then filled the form and submitted the required documents along with that and waited for my name to appear in the merit list, i got selected on first list itself. To have your admission confirmed you should be in top 500 from the people applied for admission in terms of your 12th marks.

Faculty of my college are very professional, experienced, kind and supportive. They take education of the students seriously and take the classes regularly. In this city, quality of college education is at a record low position but vivekanand college somewhat maintain its position in the matter of education.
