Likes
- The Campus infrastructure is too good and spreaded in around 5 km radius. The real example of being a hero is Dr. Hari Singh Gour who has founded this university and donated all the land, because of that so many families are surviving there.
- If I talk about the faculty then I guess the most sincere faculty is present in the English Subject of the course. They treat you like their own children and try to solve your all doubts. The nature of the staff is too good for the students.
- So, it is a central university. You are going to meet every Indian here majority from local because it is an open campus but all state-wise people are here ❤️. The true meaning of our India and you can get so many friends too who can match your vibes
Dislikes
- Because it is an open campus. So, there are many Anti-social elements too. Some of them will try to divide you on the basis of caste, religion, region. And here are too many types students, so don't trust anyone easily. Be aware, be attentive.
- Rather than being a central university, it is not disciplined even most of the seniors and juniors didn't know each other and also not interested. The concept of Junior and Senior is not much applicable here because they don't care whatever you do.
- The fees is negligible but still so many students are making the campus dirty by spitting tobacco and throwing garbage everywhere. Even some of the classrooms also has the spitting marks. And many of the faculty is now guest not actual professor.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus of the subject is too good and the time table of the exams are also friendly. It is conducted in 20-20-60 method in which 1. Mid First (20 marks) "it is an exam" 2. Mid Second (20 marks) " It is a project work" 3. End Semester (60 marks) "This is the last exam" Here course works according to semester, it means this course has 6 semesters (1 semester = 6 months) or 3 years course. Academic calendar doesn't work properly and schedule is also disturbed so many times.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the companies are private like they just want to aware you from the responsibilities you will be paid for it too. And these type of internship knowledge is provided by your professors mostly so get touch with your professors.
Fees and Financial Aid
In first semester you have to pay 2400 (for general) then later you have to pay 2200/semester which includes exam fee, tuition fee, sport fee, computer fee and so on. 4400/year is your course fee if u get hostel then it's charges is another but still too much less like 1200-1400/month approx. Earnwithlearn scheme has less capability. So less students can take the favour of it. But scholarships are available which is of other states, category, being a girl and so on.
Campus Life
Here the most famous event is Gour Utsav which occurs on the birth anniversary of Dr. Hari Singh Gour in month of November and so many other events too. Each department have their particular events and so on. Students groups or clubs are not here mostly Abvp and other politically group is in power and also NSS too. Sports is good here always sports calendar is published in new session from where student can go to more appropriate position in their sport.
Admission
Process of taking admission is simple~ 1. Appear in CUET exam with subject Language and General Test. 2. Fill UG registration form on the university official website. 3. Check the cutoff list and go to university for the counselling with proper documents.
Faculty
The qualification of the members are unbelievable. In english, Assistant Professor Mrs. Vandana Rajoriya mam. The mind-blowing teacher I have ever seen. She will help in you in your each and every doubt and has a very helping nature. When I took her class for the first time, she was speaking such fluent English and in such a wonderful accent that I can't even explain. If you want to study English so it is going ur best experience ever. And the Professor is Mr BI Guru sir who is also a brilliant teacher. I have always listened about them too much good. And the most sincere department where the functions held properly is of English Department. They actually want you to improve yourself and your skills whether it is communication or presentation or anything. They have no ego or confidence, they will treat you like their own child. Even when they are angry it remains for some minutes they will become sweet as they are always.
Interview Experience
No, there was not any type of interview or written test. You just need to pay their registration and fees and appear in the counselling on the basis of cutoff list. Then you just need to verify your documents as per your registration details and you need to fill your subject combination choice which has three groups so u need to select one from each group. Last year even those students were selected who have just appeared in cuet just.
