Intellectual overview

My aim is to become an Environmental Engineer which is a sub branch of Civil Engineering and I am getting required knowledge for it but it should be enhanced. The problems are many times corelated with real life problems. But our semesters are not designed as per the syllabus and curriculum. The syllabus is often completed in 3 months and exams are taken very fast.

Many companies like KTRC, PATH, etc. provide internships and jobs to the students, students are also able to get internships in different IITs, NITs, etc. Many projects are given to students and students also showcase their ideas in National summits.

From 6th semester a student is eligible for campus placements. Our department offers both on campus and off campus placement but less in number. The highest package last year was 4 crore per year. About 40- 50 % students get placements.

Many government scholarship are offered however I do not get as I am from General caste.The fees is enough for the course but examination fees should be reduced. The transportation fees of bus is too high that no one is able to take that facility.

College organises uncountable number of events every year. We have are annual 3 day event in the month of February namely 'Swaranjali' which includes many cultural, traditional, sports activities. Our department also organises many events like; NEEV, SAMIKSHA, SRUJAN,etc. The library has all types of books. Clubs have less engagement.

The admission had an easy procedure. But the thing which made the situation problem was the application which was 22000, as we were unable pay this much amount of money we used a reference then the situation resolved. The examination have good internal gap but the syllabus completion is problematic.

Majority of facuties have a good knowledge and great command on their subjects. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. A student can individually ask doubts and Queries freely with the faculties. Many a times faculties avoid the regular classes and miss important lectures. The syllabus is never completed upto the mark. The focus on practical knowledge is less.
