Likes
- The most beautiful that I liked about MANIT is the interaction between its seniors and juniors, here the seniors are very helpful they guide us in many ways like providing guidance about career what to do and what are career opportunities in future.
- It's weather is very nice neither too hot nor to worm.
- Our college promote start-up culture and for that we receive many workshops from the great business leaders.
Dislikes
- There is only one canteen in the campus and that's why we had a limited choice for food or party.
- No night life in the campus that is if if you want to do night out you have very less options with you.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I had just passed first year so I could only tell about the first syllabus. The syallabus is very specifically arranged the subjects like engineering mechanics had topics related to real life problems be had to solve questions and problems on the real life situations and talking about coding in first year we learn about C language which is the basic language and the key language so the specialty about MANIT syllabus is everything IS TAUGHT FROM BASICS. we got our semester complete in just 6 month so just after starting after month we had our Mini test then after 2 months we had our med sems and after 2 months we have our end send and the bad thing about the exam is we didn't receive any gap for preparation during exams we had continuous exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies came for providing internship to students of 3rd year. Recently one of my senior from chemical branch got intern in iit roorkee. Our SAE MANIT club made many mind-blowing projects they made a high speed car for racing.
Placement Experience
We had good placement opportunities. We receive many big companies. Around 60-70% student got placed. Last year one of our students got an offer of 1.2 cr from computer science branch. Many students opt for higher studies they give CAT, GATE, UPSC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is different for different students depending on their category. As I am an OBC student I don't have to pay any tution fee but I have to pay other fee like library, medical, fund etc it all sum ups to around 18k per year. Scholarship is also different for different students. For OBC we have pm yasasvi yojna and for M.P students we have medhavi yojna.
Campus Life
We had a great campus life. We had fest in which we invite guest like Akhil Sachdeva and many more. We had many technical and cultural society club as well like Robotics, Roobro, SAE MANIT, Vision coding, the hindi society Tooryanad. Sports facilities are very good we had almost all ground cricket, football, kabbadi, volleyball.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are fine we had almost all facilities like internet, water, sanitation, electricity. In room we have a fan 2 bed and 2 study tables and 2 almirah. Mess is also fine not too good and not too bad.
Admission
Admission process was long first we had to register online and then we have to go for offline reporting and register there. Had to fill many forms. For cut-off in mechanical one has to get around 97 percentile in mains to get Mechanical branch. There is reservation for girls and home state.
Faculty
Well it is difficult to put all the faculty members in one criteria but many of the teachers are very quiet calm and friendly in behaviour while on other and some are very aggressive types. All the faculty members are very highly trained and skilled and some of some of them are graduated from MANIT itself . On the basis of teaching the teachers very nice you can ask them doubts without any fear they will solve it also they provide their person contact numbers and many of them keep visiting to our hostels on a regular basis so you can contact them or ask your doubts whenever you want.
