Remarks

The management should leave the politics aside and give an entry for a bright student instead of a bribe.

Entrance Preview

Brand Name. That's the only reason I've chosen this college. And it's one among the top 10 colleges in India. Some people come just for the prestige value, but I've been here for placement. Big 4's come for the placement and the atmosphere here is very good. One more factor is, I wanted to come and explore the city as I'm not from Chennai

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is Bachelor of Commerce, so it is connected with theories rather than practical. Various subjects are here and we come across maths, statistics, marketing, international business, entrepreneurship, accounting, etc. It is selective. I've chosen entrepreneurship, so I've been studying Global marketing, marketing management. In short, I'm satisfied with this.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there is a compulsory internship not only for Bachelor of commerce but for all the courses offered. We don't receive any stipend as we r doing just for the experience and exposure.

Placement Experience

5

That's the only reason, people die to come here. There are a lot of opportunities for job placement where even BIG4 come for placement. A person with no arrear is eligible to take part in it. Many companies and different rounds to held which takes the best among them. Pay is also not that bad.

College Events

3

We conduct an inter-department festival named 'Ovations' and intra department too. Our college celebrates various festivals like Pongal, Christmas, where every 2 gather around and held together. We also confused inter and intra department festival too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to me, it's feasible. For government aided it's very feasible though. Each sem fee is around RS. 35000 and for government-aided it's around RS 8000. By the way, I'm from self-aided. Self-aided is evening and government aided is in the morning. Basically, it's affordable

Fees and Financial Aid

The main Importance is given to the government aided students as their background may be very low. The scholarship is available.

Campus Life

4.5

Each and every individual is treated equally without gender discrimination. But no parties, that's very sad, but there are no parties held here. There is no racism too which allows people from various parts of Indi, come with free mind without any worry.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is here to survive. The food is not that good and the facility is just so normal. U can't live a luxurious life here and have to adjust a normal life. There is a mess where 1000 of people eat . I'm staying alone where I have to give 1.5 lakhs per year and if it's accommodated with someone, maybe around 1 lakh.

Alumni/Alumna

The best thing in Loyola is there is no ragging, where the seniors treat every junior very well with respect. They are helpful in all the matter.

Exam Structure

Every college has 6 Semesters for B.com, so this college is. We have two internals in between, where 50% of in this marks and 50% of semester marks are added in the mark sheet. The structure is quite good. 40 for 1st internals, 40 for 2nd internal and 20 for assignment, presentation, etc.

Admission

I cracked 98% in my 12th grade and got 99.75% cutoff. I was waiting for the list to come out. I got my name in the very 1st list and I was called for the further proceedings. When I came, there was an interview, BT it was just like a formality because all have been selected. As I was selected in the 1st list, I had no burden.

Faculty

3

To be harsh, it's corrupted. People die to come here, but everything is corrupted. Money matters more than education here. And teaching is not that proper as I expected. There are teachers who can converse in English properly and are Professors here. That sounds great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
