My personal experience in GEC Modasa

There is only one bad remarks in my college is that our canteen is very poor. And good remarks is there are very knowledgeable faculty's and for sports there are very large grounds. So I love my college and my college life.

It's a government college that's why I choosen these college because of private colleges are charged heavy and I'm coming from medium class family. Hence I selected Government Engineering College Modasa. In this college admission process was very simple. It's dependent on the merit list of the students.

Our college was constructed in 1983 so course structure are very useful and easy. There are seven buildings in GEC Modasa for different branches. Basically first course structure design by our professors and then submitted to our principal. Sometimes course are very long so that time not complete for time management.

No. My college not provided internship. Even sometimes provides but that company was take signature for 3 years of bond. It's not a good for any students.

There is no placements cell provided in our college. Many small and local company visit our college and hire some students on 3 years bonding. There is no industrial area near the college so it's difficult for students to find a job. Last year, My seniors got placement on our college.

Many festivals and events are come in every year. There are all events and festivals celebrated by our college in every branch like teachers day, Navratri, fabruary days, independence day, republic day. There are students present some drama, dance, speech etc. last I attended in finishing school where I learn lots of things and its provided us free from our college. It's very costly course.

I again repeat it's a government college so there are pay some semester fees and exam fees. And exam fees is 125rs per subject. You have 3 subjects in your semester then you pay only 375rs. Next semester you have 6 subject then you have to pay 750rs. There six time of 125.

There are no loan facilities. But yes there's good scholarship gave the students. Not the general categories students. scholarship is available for only obc and sc/St students.

College life is the best part of our life. My college are very special for me because of change in my life. There are almost same gender ratio in my college only without mechanical and automobile branch. Because there are only boys not girls. Sometimes some girls are came in their branch. Basically girls are taken admission in computer & IT department. But that's not difference there are all students are equal in any branch.

Basically I'm stay in personal room so there is no idea of hostel and mess food. But my some friends are there so sometimes I heard from them that there are poor mess food. So sometimes they all take a some delicious food in near by hotel or shops. For hostel admission there's dependent on the merit list like college admission. First to third yera students are stay there but there are no space for fourth year students.

In my branch Electronics & Communication, there are my seniors are very helpful for us. They helped us many time in our exams & any practicals. Like that we all helpful for our juniors.

There are Three exams are in semester. First, mid semester exam. In mid semester exam number of students are failed so they have one chance for pass in their failure subject in remid exam. In remid exam faculty gave only passing marks even students have a good answers. And in last exam are coming main University exam. That exam taken by our Gujarat technological University.

My some relatives are basically from the Modasa. So, I have taken advised from them and take one small visit this college. I liked this college because of its buildings, grounds, hygienity etc. So, I fillup my form and selected this college in college selection round. After two round I was selected in third round in Electronics & communication department.

I'm in ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION department. There are one lady professor and others are male professors. All faculty's are well educated and very practical knowledgeable. They all teach all year students. They have very calm nature hence all students are regularly attended their class's. Sometimes course was not completed because of their long chapters and take a time in practical.
