Remarks
The college is an average college and among st many of the good old colleges if someone from a modest family wants to work alongside the usual study during college Life. A good career can be made only by working Hard with a certain level of smartness, education will give you the certificate but your character will give you the Success you will be seeking after passing out. Best of Luck !!
Entrance Preview
I have heard of good reviews from my seniors during my stint in the college and after getting in the studies and everything was decent, the teachers were co operative as well as the college staff were good.Honestly speaking attendance was not that much of an issue which was a very big thing for me since I used to work and study parallel during those days.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum was similar with other colleges as per my friends in different colleges, regular lectures were provided during the 1st year but to be honest it decreased as the years passed by, the curriculum was definitely in line with the best of colleges since the course was strictly as per CU.
Internships Opportunities
NO they did not provide any internship during my stint there from 2005-2008. As mentioned no internship was provided.
Placement Experience
Initially I struggled a lot with my career but then after school and college people realise the outer world which is much different then the imagination during those days, but hard work and perseverance can make you successful in long run. So its better to not depend on Placements rather prepare yourself to take on challenges.
College Events
All festivals were celebrated precisely and even though the college premises was not that big still the festivities were celebrated, We had annual sports function also but it was all seniors who played it out, juniors had no play during the 1st years of the functions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is definitely feasible. This is one of the primary reasons for students with moderate family incomes choose this college moreover we had a chance to work along with studying as well that way you can sponser your own studies by earning a moderate income with a part time job as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I am not aware of any Scholarship provided by the college & since the academic and admission is pretty moderately charged so the Loan facility is not required mostly.
Campus Life
Ours was a Only Boys college, so there is not question of any gender equality or in equality. Campus Life was super boring since the campus was obviously too small and there was not much of any activities throughout our college life practically speaking.
Hostel Facilities
I was not a part of the Mess or Hostel facilities in the college so I am not aware of it at all, Moreover the Mess food of the college was not worth it, I never used to eat there, instead the Putiram shop outside is pretty good and hygienic for eating out.
Alumni/Alumna
Helpful is a relative term I would say, all in all people were definitely helpful, One incident I can say, I recently went to the college and was issued my Pass Certificate after 8 years which I did not collect due to some reason or the other, SO the college back end staff for sure is helpful 100%.
Exam Structure
Exam Structure was relatively like all other college and as per the structure of Calcutta University, the college used to take internal exams before the crucial yearly exams which helped us to prepare with full flow for the most important yearly exams.
Admission
It was a simple admission procedure, we submitted our results in college & after the merit list was out we gave the initial deposit of a certain amount and got admitted. The overall time taken was also quite faster them some other colleges and comparatively simpler as well.
Faculty
The Faculty was ok to be true, Few exceptionally good teachers and few not to be mentioned teachers, I can not recall any of my teachers in college specifically but yes i remember several of my school day teachers vividly, rest I leave it for the viewers to judge the same.
