Course Curriculum Overview
The resources provided by gitam library is enough to cover most of the syllabus. Apart from that I can also utilise the teachers notes and can also refer to third part material such as YouTube, research articles and other text books. The syllabus is well updated and I believe is pretty helpful to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The base fee structure for school of technology is 3,50,000 for any course of CSE (ai am currently studying CSE). Based on the results in GITAM entrance exam there is a scholarship offer that is applicable to the annual fee. For some students it's 79%, for some it's 50% and some even get 25% scholarship. For anyone applying, I highly encourage them to attempt the GET(Gitam Entrance Test) as early as possible to get a greater chance for scholarship. Also there is an annual hike in fee (usually 3-5%), So I suggest willing applicants to lookinto it beforehand.
Campus Life
The main annual event at Gitam Hyderabad is the PRAMANA event. It's a 3day event that is completely organised and run by the student body and is the greatest celebration at GITAM. Apart from pramana, there are many club hosted events too. Many hackathon and ideathons are also conducted to encourage enterpenureship and teach skills among the students. Sports are also super encouraged and students are allowed to participate in national and international events representing the college/country.
Admission
The application and entrance test process was pretty quick and straightforward. You get an enrank to be eligible for scholarship or you pay the full fee of 3,50,000 (for CSE). The cutoff depends on when you are attempting the exam. December entrance test will have a greater than the cutoff of the exam in March
Faculty
The faculty are pretty experienced, and provide students with the necessary resources for the students. In my experience some of the faculty can definitely do better to teach students and keep the subject interesting. Apart from that, I do not think about the faculty in any negative way. The chemistry department can do better tho..
