The campus being an old palace, the infrastructure is very old and quite poor. The laboratories are the best in the entire state. While management is average.

Particularly for Chemical Engineering, the FTE provides the best education in the entire state of Gujarat, many practical types of equipment over here in the Chemical Engineering Department are not present even in the SVNIT. Overall, for any department, the faculty members are the most experienced and many even have the Industrial knowledge which helps a Student gain the course in a better way.

The curriculum over here changes with time, with the latest methodology adopted in the industry. Many things taught over here are there in the curriculum of only a few top level colleges of India viz. IIT-B, ICT. The core subjects taught here are referred from the best books worldwide.

Yes. A few companies coming over here for placements also provide internship opportunities to the final year students. The stipend varies with companies.

Placements over here in some of the fields are exceptional. The placements of chemical engineering students are above par, with more than 90% being placed during the year of 2017-18. The highest package was 17.4 LPA provide to 4 students of Chemical Engineering, while the average package was 6.5 LPA.

Four events are organized on the campus. FootPrints is a national level technical event organized by the students over here and are the largest technical event of the state with participants coming from all over Gujarat. Paramarsh is a national level non-technical event organized by the students and is the largest of its kind in Gujarat with participants coming from all over Gujarat. Prerna is a social event and Asia's largest DA-fest, patronized by UNESCO. Junoon is the intra-college sports and cultural festival for the students of the faculty.

It being a government-aided college, the fees over here are minimal. The tuition fees for girls are totally free, while for boys, it is merely 1500? per annum. The overall fee structure includes tuition fees+ approx 8000? per annum which include Library, laboratory, exam fees.

Yes. Apart the college provides every scholarship given by the state government. Apart from this, many trusts provide scholarships as well as fee-waivers to the needful.

Campus life in FTE is one of the most vivid. The Gender ratio is slightly more towards the males. The extracurricular activities, as well as technical/PD activities, are held by the National-level events organized here. Apart from that, these events are managed and organized totally by the students.

There are 4-5 hostels for girls and boys are provided to the students. The admission process to the hostels is quite simple, and the hostel fees are also very less. The mess food is a qualitatively very good, while clean water coolers are there in each hostel.

For the first year students, there is no internals. It is completely 100 mark paper during the externals. For the second, third and final year students, there is an internal exam of 20 marks, which would be directly added to the 80 mark externals exam.

The admission over here is handled by ACPC, which handles the admission for technical courses in Gujarat. Any student opting for Engineering in Gujarat have to get admission through ACPC. The merit list will be declared by ACPC based on the state board marks and JEE(Mains)/GUJCET (For now, GUJCET is the compulsory entrance exam for any engineering college in Gujarat)

The most of the faculties over here have an experience of over 10 years. They are quickly adapting with the new methodology of the industry and teaching what is required the most in the professional fields. Moreover, they are really helpful with any doubts in the curriculum as well as with the placements.
