College is located 6km away from Rajkot city therefor students somehow can live in the peaceful environment. Girls and boy live here in very frankly manner all other enjoyment of college life is here. every year senior organize a fresher party for newcomers. If you are thinking to do engineering in Gujarat than this might be your best choice to study in GEC Rajkot

In past at our time i had to attend gujcet gujarat common entrance examination to take admission in technical courses of gujarat state. but now a days students have to appear JEE to secure your admission in engineering colleges of gujarat and also many other states. All admission process is done by acpc - admission committee for professional courses which is seat allocation organisation for technical courses of gujarat state.I got 46 marks in gujcet but now a days it does not matter that what was my gujcet score students should focus mainly on JEE because 40% of JEE and 60% of 12th standard marks counted to achieve final merit marks and on that basis you will get admission.

Course is 4years long and college is affiliated to gtu- gujarat technological university. so, all exams and syllabus are defined by university.

College does not provide any time of intership or stipend in final year students have to work on project either udp user deffined project or idp industry defined project. Many students take practical knowledge in industry during final year.

Many placements are offered by gtu joint placement program and there is also better opportunity in rajkot city to find job in industrial field.

College celebrates all the cultural events like navratri, dusshera and many other.

As this is government college, fees are very cheap and affordable. Student have to pay 2500/- inr per year as tuition fee and girls are not require to pay any type of fees.

Yes st/sc/sebc students can get scholarship from gujarat government and student can also get additional advantage because of this college is government.

Campus life here is an awesome this college located in saurashtra region of gujarat state so, peoples are very frank and i think this is very safe place for girls to live as a paying guest or in hostel. Every students are free to live in his on own way and do most of his ability most of the extracurricular activities are organize by the students them selves all the seniors were nice they never try to establish any ragging or similar environment. Government has designed beautiful structure for lab and sports activities.

There is also hostel facility available in college campus both for boys and girls. Mess service is not offered by college but you can manage by your own.

There is a well organize structure of alumni and there is also gec rajkot alumni association. One can be member of it after become alumni. you can also find facebook page were some alumni is mostly online.

Every students are require to appear 4 examinations during one semester. Midsem+viva+practical+final. Midsem exams has maximum marks of 30 and one have to score 12 to pass. Viva and practical has different structure branch wise. Final exam has maximum 70

Faculties are recruited by gpsc-gujarat public service commission. So, all the faculties are highly qualified and well experienced each faculty has minimum master or ph.d degree in relevant branch and minimum 5-10 years experience in related field.
